your hp is measured by the blood spatter around your screen. in addition to that you have a "blood meter" when you bleed you get a pair of blood drops in the bottom right corner. if that ever falls empty you die immediately regardless of your remainin hp. it goes down based on bleed damage, and stamina consumption. so sprinting will cause you to lose more blood, attacking, etc. you heal it by not sprinting. it heals slowly while walking, faster while laying down. once the bleeding has stopped it will have a white + on it. as long as the blood drops and the + remain, if you take ANY damage, your wound reopens and you bleed again, so it's suggested to rest until the blood drops and + symbol go away completely.

no, it's always 2 droplets. the level of the red in the droplets is your blood bar.

so lets say you get bled, you'll have the 2 droplet icon pop up.

it will start to get lower based on the bleeding damage you too, and even faster if you burn stamina.

once you stop taking damage and rest, it will over time staunch, or stop bleeding. and you'll get the + mark

if you go a few more minutes without taking damage, it'll go away compltetly.
