hey can anyone help me understand the elder system? Im playing as a Carno currently and this is the 3rd time ive successfully gotten to 75% growth without being killed or accidentally killing myself lol. on all 3 occasions i have visited a sanctuary, never cannibalized, Never gone infertile, visited at least 2 migration zones, and visited at aleast 4 patrol zones. And on 2 of the 3 runs I was also able to get a perfect diet meaning i completed 6 of the 5 missions needed to get a Prime Elder. But on all 3 occassions it has not given me Prime Elder, is there some piece of information im missing or am i doing something wrong? please help because I dont want to play Trex until i know exactly how to get Prime Elder.

Okay, lol, just checking. You could look up a few videos that go in depth about it, but I’ll briefly tell you whats up.

Every dinosaur has 2 types of elders; Prime & frail. Both states, once 100% will allow you to entomb and carry your mutations into your next life, slightly buffed. To do so, sleep and go into your mutations menu, you’ll be greeted by an “ENTOMB” button.

Frail elder is what you will be if you do not complete certain tasks, frail elders, upon reaching 75% growth (full adult), will be on a stat decline until 100%.

The desired goal is to be prime, as prime elders provide more weight/are larger. Many also become faster as well. And the key thing is that prime elders are given access to their 4th mutation slot. As opposed to frails, who only get 3. Upon reaching 75% your stats will increase until about 85-87%, that being your “peak”, then you will decline. But 100% prime elders are much stronger than 100% frail.

How do you get prime? You are to complete 5 tasks of the list:

• Never be Infertile
• Never have muscle spasms
• Visit sanctuary as a juvenile
• Visit 4 Patrol zones (the markers on the compass with the eye looking symbols)
• Visit 2 Migration Zones (the markers on the compass with the feet print symbols)
• Visit mass migration (not in the game yet)
• Be hatched from an egg
• Raise offspring to Sub-adult

You have to keep track of them, as there is no indicator of if you’ve met a requirement or not, and sometimes that leads to big disappointments. I recommend watching Kouga’s video on youtube for a better explanation. Ive prob skipped over some stuff, but its late for me and im sleepy. Good luck!
