To come back to your question, i've had the issue several times where the fps would randomly drop to 1 FPS and ping goes to 400-700 for about 30sec before it all returns to normal. I've read somewhere that in order to fix it you need to go to %localappdata% > The Isle > Saved and delete the config folder. That should fix it

There's a couple of reasons. One is that there's issues with the elder/entomb system where we are unable to give people back the creature they had previously, but a bigger one is that even when we could give back the exact same creature, people very rarely actually would provide us the information we needed to do so.

People would refuse to tell us their server, their IGN, their steam ID/name, or refuse to get on entirely for us to do it. We ended up doing far less regrows and it takes a lot more time than people think it does to do, when our time is better spent catching the cheaters in the first place.

All creatures to varying degrees make noise when sitting, and all carnivores can track footprints. Pair that with rex's large size and that you can more easily see players from above in most bushes, its likely they may have just saw or heard you. If you believe someone is using ESP however, the pins outline how to make a report.

Unfortunately, it's not really something we can do. Trust me, we would love to say when we ban people and "yes we caught the cheaters, all is well", but we can't. It's a public discord anyone can join, and cheaters do often come here on alts to try and see when staff are active to fish out when they're least likely to be caught- it's one of the main reason most admins don't show as online, or those of us that do, always show as online.

Cheat accounts also, commonly, are stolen from legitimate players or try to frame legitimate ones too, use hate speech in their names, or will sometimes even try to doxx legit players, so we can't in any fashion say who we ban either.

For example, we had one a while back that copied everything on my steam profile, but also added every single one of my social media pages, accounts i had forgotten about, things that linked to my government name, an attempt at my phone number- all in attempt to harrass me.

You really don't want that information out there when its fairly commonplace for cheaters to do to everyone else around them.

As I said further up the chat, unfortunately it probably won't be something that returns. The issue with us not being able to regrow elder/entombed dinosaurs aside, we've had massive issues the entire time we did do regrows with that the vast majority of players would not cooperate with us to be able to do them in the first place. People wouldn't tell us their IGNs, steam IDs, or even their server, nevermind actually get on for us to do it.

All methods to remove cheaters do or will have work arounds in time, and its something that is constantly worked on. That said, I can't speak for other staff, but you have never sent anything to me.
