It's truly a masterpiece I wish I had discovered earlier. The only criticism I have is that even at full pop I spend hours wondering around without a single engagement with another player. When i say wondering I mean stealthing and listening while moving around. I went from water access to south swamps back up the long river system through access again and into the volcano last night with 80 pop count average. While it was an exciting journey and discovering the map was fun I saw 2 players the whole time, 1 ran and the other wanted me to kill them for a respawn. I understand that part of the game is a resource management and endurance test but I couldn't help to feel as though the suspense was lost and Almost as if I was playing alone. Lets say there was a way to fix lag and server issues, would it not add to the game if the map was more populated? TLDR( loving game but feeling less interested due to minimal player encounters)

Player count has always been a problem, 100 people for a map the size we have is just too few and why people typically end up going to South Plains cause they want to have something happen

Even if the servers had double the amount of people (pretending performance isn't effected) I think people would still feel like it's a bit too unpopulated.

I ended up quitting petits pieds server (300 pop) after a few weeks. It had all the same hotspots and deadzones, except the hotspots were a powerpoint slide show due to it being overcrowded and the ping from oce was the final nail in the coffin. Not to mention the power tripping admin... all these reasons are why i just play officials. So much less of a headache

I think if you want to get more attention for your server. It would be differing it from official in ways that feel more like a upgrade then just 'we don't have cheaters' to attract people.

Another way I could see going about it is tweaking mutations. It's not exactly a secret some are too good while others might as well not even exist. (But I feel like you would be better off touching the unused/weaker ones then the stronger ones, people tend to not like nerfs)
