building nests in trees will be a highlight of hypsi life, then a herra comes to crash the party so the flock flees by jumping from tree to tree to escape, assuming hypsi gets the ability to leap from tree to tree

it might not get the ability to leap from tree to tree, and instead be forced to jump to the ground to flee

but nesting in trees is sure to come, tree nesting hypsis are show in megalanias concept art so there is a good chance its added

and hypsis can already build nests in trees when they get the rare chance to get into a tree

yeah ive never nested as a hypsi but I do want to at some stage and I would find it so cute to be able to build a nest in a tree. I feel like it probably won't get the ability to jump from tree to tree but it would definitely need something to allow it to get away quickly from as you say, a herra. I love playing Hypsi's not only bc i find it cute but the colours are so pretty and i enjoy the social aspect just hanging out with a herbi herd and just being there haha

my assumption is that hypsi will get heightened fall damage height threshold like herra so it can leap down from a tree to find cover in the underbrush from its natural predators

it will leap from the trees to escape herras and pteras, and will rush up the trees to escape from its land predators like troodons and dilos

and yeah i found that the jungle underbrush is so thick that you basically become invisible once you crouch in it

yeah ive just crouched and i can't even see myself and i've found that it can be really deceptive when you are obviously small and so you look quite big and you think "ahh maybe im not hidden enough" bc the camera but when your a big dino it's actually quite difficult to see the little guys in the grass (especially troodons)

you should see how hard it is to see troodons in the new hordetest grass, they are basically invisible and can sit right down in an open field and not get noticed, especially once they fix the grass LOD crap that is currently happening in the HT

ive been on the HT a little bit testing trike (and fighting with the ping and massive FPS drops when there's a group of trike nearby, atleast when i played could be fixed now though) and yeah the first thing i said is this grass is heaven for troodons haha and as a troodon player It'll be so good but yeah as you said the crap currently happening with the grass is not good haha

of course the new grass also makes it really hard for troodons and hypsis to see, and the hordetest has many optimisation issues

i personally prefer maia over teno, its growth is only marginally slower than teno and i can zoom and still beat down against 2 ceras

the controls take a while to get used to, but once you have them down and get good at swapping stances you are a menace to anything that dares attack, while still having the option to flee
