if the dino is small enough you pin it to the ground and you keep holding right click to do damage (its basically game over for the pinned dino if you have the stam) instead of just sitting on it doing bleed (with rmb yes) or pure dmg (lmb)

ill try explain it better. Raptor has 2 different types of 'pounce' attacks. If the dino that the raptor is attacking is small enough the raptor can pin it to the ground with the pounce instead of sitting on the side of it doing the dmg as the dino can move around and buck.

Pinning a dino means it cannot move at all, and yeah its just death bc the raptor can do a lot of dmg provided the raptor has stamina to keep the dino pinned. If the dino is not small enough thats the normal pounce where you sit on the side of it (or top or wherever you are on it) and either choose to do the bleed (rmb) or the pure dmg (lmb).

To dismount the dino that you have not pinned you press spacebar. To stop pinning the dino you release rmb.

I was just a diablo wandering down to a river, 2 carnos snuck up on me, I managed to kill one and limp to safety whilst his buddy feasted on his corpse.
