It's a fine line to walk unfortunately. There's only so many details we can give that don't also hinder actually catching exploiters. Any indication we're online at all, for example, makes a lot of them log out. Even talking in the chat as this is a public discord can make hackers log to try and evade bans. Unfortunately hacks do come in waves. Patching them out takes a lot of time and needs to be done very carefully as not to introduce worse problems or break the game. Hacks usually don't care about that sort of thing, just doing as much damage as possible. Every game has hackers, and the devs work to update anti-cheat methods as soon as they can to remove them.

I believe you referring to mixpacks, and even then herbivores can be simply too big for a croc to grab.
