the problem is hunger decay rates on carnores doesn't allow for long term stalking of prey, because they need to eat and break their chase.

so you can't wait out the herd until you see a good opening.

100% correct maz if there is a herbie mix pack of 10 you need 20-30 carnivores so you could even hope to keep the pressure up while ppl rotate out to eat and drink

and that is extremely rare

plus with reabsorption that's one less opportunity to ambush a herbivore that has it.

we have a large pack of troodons (not mix packing as intended) but it doesnt really matter. ive seen and been apart of 10 carnos that cant deal with this kind of thing....

Make it where everyones growth for official servers restart once every two weeks: due to deinos that are larger than u being able to kill u no matter what and you can't run

Probably doesn't help herbivores are rather strong combat wise. Maia at least feels like a good addition for this reason being such a big juicy target with poor and slow attacks. They even kinda don't fit too well in a mixpack herd due to how often they need water and being fast.

the reason you get eaten is because there's not enough of other food and the diet list on deino sucks.
