there is one way of finding them that isn't just simply listening out for them. Sometimes they'll have a dead compy or frog in their mouth and you can smell them out to their burrow.

It's still a pain thou since it leaves you wondering if it's invisible or not, cause if you don't keep running you might not find the AI you heard, but at the same time. You might just be moving further away from the AI sitting invisible that you gotta walk around/listen for til you stumble into it.

The other thing it might be... if you are with a dodgy ISP, they can play nasty tricks with how much bandwidth you get depending on what the traffic looks like to them. If it looks like a speed test, or netflix or such, you get high priority, if it looks like a torrent, you get really low priority. If they are classifying Isle traffic as a torrent that could explain it

at 2nd mutation you get venom, pouncing and jumping off inflicts venom AFTER sound cue (if another trood pounces it will cancel and reset that venom stage) there is 3 venom stages, each multiplying your damage (up to 2x). venom stages show as different colours in scent, from blue to purple

pounce
dismount immediately
Wait for an audible chirp from your troo
Wash repeat 2 more times
Troo will scream at the top of its lungs the third time
Hold on for dear life.
