Generally no, for the following reasons:
Gamma/saturation/etc can be changed in your normal windows settings the same as overlays, so you'd need to somehow ban that too, but
Most monitors also let you change all the same settings, and are impossible to identify,and
Many gaming monitors (especially TN panel ones) are naturally very bright and easy to see at night with, so you'd be giving them an unfair advantage

I have 3 screens, one I can see at night super easily on and the other two I can't see squat. I didn't set them up that way, it's just how they work. Other people only have the dark kinda of screens. Does that give me an unfair advantage?

i just think the game is intended to be dark, the herbi's are meant to be vulnerable at night so predators can have a chance to ambush, it is what it is though bc theres not much you can do about it

Yeah. There are other ways of handling night vision that can't be defeated by monitors and colour settings (legacy uses a black fog that limits how far you can see) but players asked for this so this is what we got
