croc swim speed is broken down into three from my testing, slowest is when your crawling on the bottom, but it regens stam while you walk along, then swimming normaly, then on top IS slightly faster, and you restore o2, however its loud and everyone underwater can see you coming.

Even from a gameplay point of view, you don't need to eliminate every single competitor. Baby crocs are worth nothing, meat-wise, and letting them fatten up a little bit (effectively letting them farm nutrients for you) is the smarter move.

From what I understand, people have complained that the current method of spawning AI for food seems to be that it spawns it around where players are. And from my own observations, it seems to spawn it at certain times of day (for instance, most times that I notice schooling fish appear or disappear is at sunrise/sunset).

Theoretically, based on the way the AI spawns, it would be best to position yourself around an area where you've seen lots of spawns occur, and wait for either sunrise or sunset.

Whenever I'm at the river delta, I don't expect to find schooling fish. Frogs are occasional there, but I go over to the swamp for fish and frogs. I wouldn't rely on schooling fish until halfway up the river (roughly where it begins to become one river) and upstream from there.
