was on my way guiding a baby diablo to the sanctuary in south plains, and suddenly 2 ceratos appear. i figured they'd know better than to attack a 3 ton animal when there's corpses already nearby. they did not.

baby diablo dies, i take a bit of a beating and head to the little mud pit to set up a bit of a defence. i fought the laggy as hell ceratos for a solid 7 minutes, killing 1 of them

and wounding others. I then die happily because i am a full grown diablo with nothing left to lose, and respawn as a baby cerato in south plains.

unfortunately no story has a happy ending, so yes a violence-craving and probably blind herrera did kill me as soon as i tried to eat my corpse.

but the bad doesnt cancel out the good. truly an amazing battle for me. learned a bit about diablo combat.

If any one runs into this STUPID problem with windows, SHIFT + ALT during a fight, this is how you disable it!

Shortcut used to be ALT + Shift and could be disabled by going into Time & Language > Typing > Advanced keyboard settings > Language bar options. This path still exists and I have disabled the key sequences.

do you use the https://www.islemaps.com/ website? there is a sanctuary opposite west rail (south west) on the beach where in the horde test there were heaps of diablo there as i think it was the only other diablo spawn apart from highlands

and the crocs were even swimming up and down along the beach grabbing diablos as they crossed to west rail - was funny

The hardest thing about mixpacking is moderating it and making sure the wrong person doesn't get banned. I think we all agree playing with 2 friends different species is fine but if they kill someone then is it? And then also how migrations work that makes it hard.

Monitoring mix packing doesn't have to include banning someone. It can be as simple as killing them in game or if you have a discord bot for growth points having a penalty to remove some. Even an announcement in the server directed as a warning or such and such will happen. You have the choices to monitor/act on unfair gameplay in a survival game esp with carnivore or carnivore with herbivores. You just have to see what works for you and your server.
