Yes. You have 3 lines under the stam. When you bite you smell to see how far they are infected green means ya got them and purple ish means ya gonna get them good. Once in purple you can do it in green as well they can just see more still, I just spam it every 10sec or something and it regens idk how long that takes tho

hotspots offer large quanities of food because its jsut a murder ground, if you spawn elsewhere, food is still very viable, you just have to work for it
