I've given up on AU1 all together. There's a weird massive toxic herb mix pack there and it often throws in random large groups of raptors etc I asked a raptor if they knew the stegos and they said yes and it feels pretty consistent that AU1 has gone to complete crude these past 2 weeks. There's also this 1 steg on that server that never wants to die despite being attacked by several adults multiple times, yet the steg can calmly kill anything it wants with ease. Sussy baka.

deinos are cannibals its to be expected they'll attack if they get the chance - best bet is to stick to quiet areas until you're bigger. If you eat and then just hide out deinos are one of the easiest things to grow but if you hang out in busy areas you'll pretty much always at risk of being chomped

I'm going to clarify a few things here. The anti-cheat system is a wide net to catch the more common forms of exploiting- it cannot and will not ever catch all cheaters, as that's just not how anti-cheats or exploiting works. Those making exploits are not stupid, and know how to manipulate vulnerabilities- They create them specifically to get around well known and understood systems, and work to obfuscate how their own work to prevent developers from being able to patch them out.

It's an arms race. The process of removing one exploit is often long and complicated to prevent allowing other forms of them, because if it's not done right, it can make a problem signifgantly worse. Exploiters quite literally work to make their exploits as fast as possible to stay ahead of the developers. Anti-cheats cannot recognize exploits they haven't been programed to know aren't intended features.

If your anti-cheat catches exploits A, B, and C, but someone is using exploit D, it won't catch it. That's what the staff are for, as we can observe and see if something or someone is behaving outside of the normal limitations of the game. Computers are not good at understanding nuance or why something is happening. If you suspect a hacker, let us know by pinging the official server admin role and stating what server its on so we can handle it. Keep in mind we don't disclose actions against other users, or notify when we are investigating as that makes it easier for exploiters to avoid us and not be caught.

That's also why we don't allow calling out their location, name, or skin in public channels. If they know they're being watched, they're more likely to stop or flee the area, making it a more difficult process and not solve the issue.

Why not add a scoreboard to see all the usernames of players and implement a vote kick system? Instead of relying on the anti cheat or mods for a ban, We ingame people can do it ourselves.

It really wouldn't, in my personal opinon. I've played on servers that have similar features before, both in The Isle and outside of it. In my experience, it very quickly becomes a game of trying to get other people banned and get it plastered all over the server they did, allowing for a lot of harassment, false reports, and smear campaigns. In my honest opinion and is our current policy, who is banned, muted, or otherwise taken action against by staff and why does not need to be public.

The main issue is the hackers have found a way around the anti cheat and they are in the game. All we want is a better solution on how they can be dealt with. It just gets annoying when reporting these players and even if they are being reported multiple times that they are just still roaming blatantly exploiting and killing all of us.

You can always message a OSA with your steamID if you get killed by a hacker. We can give that to the appropriate person who has access to the server logs. That’s the only work around that I’m aware of if the anti cheat hasn’t been able to catch those who’ve slipped through that net

Trust me I’ve been playing the croc for 2 years, it use to be such a friendly community being croc. I don’t expect it to be easy I never said that? I agree to an extent if you need to go canni because you are so low on health 100% but to literally do it for the sake of it and to do it to the ones who barely have played for an hour on it.

i think it's just a matter of fact, really. There will always be cannies, and since there are no rules on it, we can't expect people to be respectful like that. Complaining won't fix it, or change it or grow you a new full grown dinosaur. Complaining just sours it and there's no point. I've been cannied plenty of times and it sucks, but at the end of the day that's just how it works. if you're unhappy, like others have said- move to an unofficial server, or deal w/ it as it comes. It's a survival game, not a "let's all be friends and hold hands game." death is the whole point.

Keep in mind admins aren't available in game 24/7, and it does take time for admins to be able to get into the server, investigate, and handle the issue.
