That's common. Best fix: just hide and stay away from Big crocs, if a similar sized croc swims at you fast BITE FIRST to survive. If they chill near you at first they be waiting to catch you off guard or heal a little, say in chat that if they come near you you will bite them. This may sike them out or you'll figure out if they friendly.
