It ruins basically any balance the devs can make in the game. There is no way for the game to be balanced fairly if any and all matchups can be mixed and match, and this generally happens in herbi favour. On top of that it kinda just makes people super vengeful so that carnis can't eat and in agame where they're already struggling that isn't really a good sign either.

herbivore irl don't really mixpack like that, no. Herd animals typically move over the same migration routes but don't actively defend eachother with a vengence.

Because kin and likeness is a very strong driver irl. Animals are xenophobic too

I've ended up hatched into mixpacks and things like that, and since official has no stance, I don't care to tell anyone they shouldn't.
