the palm tree icons when you hold Q lead to 'sanctuary', a place for juveniles. has food for herbivores.
the footprints are the migration zone, basically a built in hot-spot to find other players (and lots of food)
the 'eyes' are patrol zones. smaller hotspots also with food and players.
