Official servers stay full mostly because they’re the default. A lot of players just want a standard experience without extra rules or worrying about how community servers are run.

Also, for admins and mods, it’s not really that we don’t care. It’s just a huge volume of players and reports, so things take longer and can’t always be handled instantly. While it’s not perfect, it’s more a capacity issue than people not bothering.

That said, I get the frustration where you or other players are losing hours and it feels like not a lot is being done about it.

Yeah, new players especially won’t really notice the bigger issues yet, and some experienced players do move to community servers over time.

At the same time though, a lot of long-time players still stick around on officials just because it’s familiar and consistent, even with the problems. It’s not always about not being fed up, and more about just preference or convenience.

With admin/mods, I get why it might feel like there’s not much activity. A lot of what happens isn’t super visible unless you’re directly involved in a report or situation. For things like shared locations tend to get quick reactions because they’re clear-cut and easier to act on straight away.

The ongoing issues and lag are definitely frustrating though, no argument there lol

I get what you mean - it can feel like a loop when the same stuff keeps happening.

I think for a lot of people it’s more of a “take the risk anyway” thing. Even if there’s a chance of losing progress, they still enjoy the moments in between, or just don’t want to switch away from officials. Some people would rather deal with the issues than start fresh somewhere else.

I don’t really play on officials and tend to prefer community servers as most of my friends play on those instead.

I have something I need to understand: people report hackers daily, mostly it's invisible hackers running wild and killing everyone they see on one or the other server. There have also been discussions how they're always finding new ways to hack despite anti-cheat updates and so on, it's not something new. It does remind me when Legacy officials had hackers. But myself and my friends would continue to play on them since we didn’t like the no alt turn servers and so on lol. Back then you only had to worry about the speed/stam hackers, now in evrima we have all sorts of hackers with something more crazy. I used to main Deino. It’s so broken rn with the recent updates. The fish spawns and elite fish spawns are horrendous, forcing players to cannibalize, which is understandable but it shouldn’t be the only option. Hopefully Deino can be improved in the near future.
