the game being in early access for 11 years hasn't bothered me any because unlike some games I used to enjoy playing that were fully finished (Anthem) the game is still being worked on and it has even got a decently sized community so if you ask me the devs are seriously working there asses of for us to be able to enjoy the game, I've seen games with less bugs and patches die in early access in less than a year and I've seen games supposedly in full release die in less time than that if anything I hope the game continues getting the love and support from the devs it deserves so we can enjoy the game. If you have a problem with waiting a few hours then do yourself a favour and do what other people do, FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO OCCUPY YOUR TIME AND BE PATIENT the devs aren't going to just work themselves to death because you can't be arsed to wait, they are people too they need time to fix things just like we all do and there are just 18 people they don't have the funding of theses AAA developers where they literally have thousands of people working on the same issue they need more time so they can run tests and diagnostics they won't throw us in halfway just to satisfy your impatience

There's always a chance they might rollback to older save, which means you might get it back. But chances aren't high so don't get hopes up. Expect to never get them back

It's a game in active development. Disruptions to gameplay, wipes, and bugs that can cause the loss of progress are generally commonplace. Though they do try to provide as stable of an experience as they can and avoid wiping dinosaurs unless they have to because they know it sucks losing progress

I'm giving a perspective of a game that's also somewhat complicated to make that took 10 years to be released with thousands of employees working on it.
The isle has ~30 people working on it.

Then why not come up with a save system where prog can be saved , or a backup that works ? i just lost multiple apex dinos on all official servers. Falling back on the "its game in development what do you expect" is fine for some things but constantly losing hours and hours cant be defended by that excuse. Something more has to be done about this sooner rather then later.

If the existing dinosaur data creates conflicts with the game that cause crashes, creating backups of said save data will not solve the problem. You need to clear the existing files
