loving the game, had it for about 2 weeks but i cant get to adult before dieing. would anyone be willing to have someone who doesnt know what they are doing to hang out a bit? since the update ive been trying to grow a Rex, before the update i was mostly trying out the raptor but couldnt grow that one up either.

This is very much normal for pre-release games, every single one of them. Reporting the bug is a good step but I'm saying it's more of a hassle to ask for unstuck than to 1 call/starve as a fresh spawn

omnis are fragile and take a lot of time and lowkey a lot of skill to fight, rexes just hard to grow even for an experienced players.

i'd recommend you try teno or maia first, they're fast and can excuse you some mistakes you make (the combat is still hard tho).

OKAY i want to tell yall something, in case this will ever help and MAYBE someone still doesn't know it

unstuck works only if you're standing on a solid ground, so if you're fallong. shaking, crouching or constantly sliding the /unstuck will simply do nothing and you'll have a cd to wait.

so if you're stuck and cd doesn't work, just log out and log in, DON'T MOVE (because when you log back in you're dino's position resets and you stand still on the ground even if you were "falling") unstuck should work now.

I was given unstucks so it's not like they're unwilling to help, it's just a ton of servers and people to manage at a time within the required work time, I imagine this is completely on the side to what they have to do as well so I can sympathise.
I think they have to wait in the queues to get on the servers as well (or at least did last time I was given my unstuck )

if you dont see your dino on the server, it doesnt mean its gone, if u do go in that server where u ''lost'' your dino you will overwrite it by making a new one therefore actually losing your dino. i have my prime allo which kept disappearing yesterday and i didnt go and connect to not overwrite it and then when servers came up for a short while, prime allo was still there. just dont be damn impatient like little kids. a dev, discord operator and many other people said steam servers have issues therefore many other games have trouble connecting to the servers hence most are offline and nothing can load properly

omg the disappearing-reappearing dino problems are hilarious. A while ago I grew a carno, got to adult and just logged off, the next day the game sent me to create a new character again so I was like ok, I guess it's gone then..
I got nested in as a pachy and had a blast, crashed, logged back in again and I was back on my lost carno

dinos aren't disappearing nor wiping, it's the servers that are breaking from the stress. Right now people cannot even connect to the servers, even if they do, the server cannot always connect to their saves. Servers will likely be playable again after the scheduled automated restart now, but expect "missing" dinos as usual during peak times

again - i might be wrong, but it's my forth hordetest already and USUALLY there's some problem with dinos on evrima after the ht patch is out
