Grouping is only with the same species. You can still play with other species and be friendly, as official servers do not have any gameplay rules beyond the obvious 'no hacking' and chat rules.

ok so i found a bug that might explain why it seems like so many people have esp.
if you derender someone while they are holding a food item (chunk of meat/organ) if they then eat it while derendered by you, they will still display as if holding that chunk of meat for you and it will also allow you to literally sniff them out anywhere until they log
