I think carnovoire food is more scarse to try and encourage predation but the map is too big so you can never find herbys.. you need a way to track herbs i think or a general locator to where the alrgest amount of herbvores are.

Yep, best time to play is just after a server reset or try and scavenge what you can. Other than that you're screwed. Especially if you spawn somewhere like the Northern Jungle. Can't get big enough to hunt if you've got literally zero food around you whether it's players or AI

It's the game mate. Loads of people have been complaining about it as it literally is the starving simulator at the moment. Coming on just after a server reset is the best choice to grow a Dino as there's plenty of AI. Got the game a week ago and have lost count how many times I've starved to death

Playing as a Herbi though, different story. Mainly got to watch out for other herbis, especially Teno's... I've learned already that those players largely turn into arseholes. If you starve as a Herbi, you deserve the Darwin award

Yeah, we had a group of 5 Stegos with a baby one on the way to us. Along come 2 fg Dibbles. For absolutely no reason at all they decide to kill our baby Stegos, thus starting a fight with 5 fg Stegos... Like bruh what did you gain
