@storm trail when it comes to legacy i recommend you stick to community servers, official is all but neglected and the nature of the Isle means ground rules can make the experience better, find a nice discord community, then join that legacy server rather than joining the simply biggest

Legacy is a blast. Neither game is fully finished, but the older build was a lot more complete. Tons of features that hasn't made it's way to Envirma yet like breeding and a bunch of dinosaurs.

Tbh, Once legacy is gone, Half the community will leave "The Isle" for something else, If they haven't already. Evrima is going down a path Half the community doesn't want it to go. Evrima And its "Unreal Engine" If that's what it really uses, Is so Unbearable to play due to server lag, game lag, and horrible frame rate drop. I really dont know how you go from such a smooth playing game like legacy, to Well, Evrima. Feels like were taking steps back with "The isle"

The code was fucked up on Legacy because of some shitty stuff, having to do with one of the devs ore whatever.. Not gonna mention it here but its what i heard. But Its like they listen to the wrong side of the community, and ignore the ones trying to tell them the truth about it. Having 2000+ hours in Legacy, i feel there could have been something different done, instead of scraping such a good game. Evirma is just a shit game at the moment. Lag, frame drop, bugs you name it..

Best bet is to find a sandbox server. Cama is the more playable of the two. Puertosaurus is slow and it's really difficult to drink and almost impossible to eat

it feels clunky, the movement is weird and stiff, the combat is janky and stale

all its got that evrima doesnt is a skin system, night vis, and a bigger roster

mechanic wise every dino feels the same but with a different stats, none of them have unique abilities, the only two creatures that actually feel specialized are carno and dilo

so good on the devs for focusing on the game they can actually improve, rather than the game that is literally unable to be completed to a critical and unexpected code failure that was out of the team's hands

Honestly I sort of agree, but evrima feels like such a far stretch from the original charm legacy had always had that it doesn’t really even feel like the isle. The animations and movements in evrima are horridly ugly and cartoonish, the terrains are even MORE boring than legacy, and it gives you the feeling that it’s just people playing the Dino’s rather than giving it the organic immersive feel

I disagree. In my experience, evrima feels far more immersive than legacy, and the animations (for the most part) are a step up. I won’t try to say that evrima is superior than legacy in every way, it’s not by any means. The terrain, as you said, does fall short compared to legacy. But it does stand out from legacy in terms of visuals and combat, and I think the majority of people will agree with me when I say that evrima playables have a sense of uniqueness that legacy playables failed to achieve.

And what’s good about evrima is that, unlike legacy, these issues can be resolved in time

So, my game was running just fine yesterday, I tried loading in today and the the main menu screen is so laggy i can hardly get to the server menu, in game is just as bad. I've reset my PC twice, I've verified files, updated driver and reinstalled the game. my GPU and CPU are just fine. I set all my settings to low and capped my FPS to 60. My PC plays every other game I own just fine. I'm not sure if there was an update that messed it up, just thought maybe I could get some help, if not just letting you know an issue with the game. Nobody can seem to help with my issue, is anyone having a similar issue or know what I should do?

If you are experiencing issues with your controls since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows Key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.
