Sometimes they pop up and sometimes(most of the time) it's a pain in the rear. Best bet is to join discords for legacy servers and they should have suggestions on alternate ways to join. (Such as favoriting IPs and joining that way).

2. New > Shortcut
3. When it asks where the link will point to, enter the text "steam://connect/IP_ADDRESS:27016" as said orb, of course, by replacing IP_ADDRESS
4. Launch it.

@sudden plinth this actually just motivated to find a better way. you can also go to Steam -> View -> game servers. go to Favorites and click the + icon at the bottom. use THIS SITE https://gamemonitoring.net/the-isle/servers instead and click the server you want to join. you want to copy the "Query Port" instead of "Game port" paste that into the pop up on the game servers listing and it should show up so you can use that to join the server at a latter date

1. Complete removal and reinstallation of the game.
2. Checking the health of the game files on Steam.
3. Reconnecting to another Steam account region.
4. Or just change the value of the server search.

Best bet is to join unofficial server discords and join by favoriting their IPs. Or can try topgameservers dot com and search up IPs.

Well, did you try what I suggested anyways? Cuz sometimes things need a simple restart now and then.
Because the game saying "connection lost" or any message close to that means it's an issue on your end, (or steam but if you're the only one having the issue...). Means there's an issue with the communication between steam/the game and your Internet, which a router/modem restart usually can fix.
Can also try verifying your game files but doubt that will do anything.

hey no matter what i try i cannot play legacy, every since i have updated to evrima it will not work. i tried every helpfull guide online and nothing works. tried unistalling game. tried entering server ip into launch options. tried erasing config file. im at a loss. servers will not generate it just tries to load forever even if i mess with the search options. please help

Asura doesn't have a limit.
Noobz has a carnivore limit of 10 adults/subs.
New Dawn is 8 adults.

There was some others i tihnk but those are the two most popular ways.
or, if you have patience(||who has time for that? lol||), just keep tinkering with your search settings until non chinese servers start popping up. Theres no getting rid of the fake servers, but when i tried that way last, i found all the actual servers way at the bottom of the list lol.

i see youre in Asura discord. If you go to the need help channel, then top right corner click on the pin button. click the second message down(will be from Nes), and you'll see the suggestions.

AI can NOT be adjusted. There is a setting, yes, but it does absolutely nothing(Per Dondi).
The more populated a server is, the more difficult its gonna be to find ai.

But the rule servers do have "high ai" in their names, despite it being false advertising.

Having bad issues with my game being "fuzzy/pixelated/ blurry" Not sure how to fix. I changed settings from epic to low in stages, also have tried adjusting the resolution 1920 x 1080 is what I run. I can run evirma on the highest settings without losing framerate or lag. Not sure how to fix this

Or the version that's actively being developed, Evrima.

If wanting to stay on Legacy, the active servers would be Noobz, New Dawn, Dry Reef, and Asura.

Populated servers would be Noobz(rules), Dry Reef(rules) and Asura(no rules).
The search is broken and outdated so sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Best way to get in would be to join their discords and get their IPs so you can favorite them and join that way, without using the search.

Carnivore I'm partial to Utah and Carno. Sometimes allo.
Herbivore, Maia is good. Dibble isn't bad. Galli for annoyance and distraction. Ava for the trolls and hurt people's egos
Only time I play Apex is when I need to grow for quests on Asura. In which case, Theri for herbivore, spino for carnivore. (Some will say giga but I hate growing it lmao)

Legacy is the OG version of the Isle. The default version when you install the game. Its abandoned. Devs no longer work on it.

Evrima is the newer, actively being updated version. You'd get to that through the Beta Tab on Steam.
