I have a special lock I put on the power box of the machine (or even the whole junction room) that keeps the machine “Off”. No one is turning it on without a key. The lock can get chopped off, but there’s a whole factory of people that’ll turn you into pulp if you try. It’s a very sacred code with factorymen and laborers.

The other one being “If it was your own fault, you don’t get to claim Worker’s Comp - pay attention”.

I even have a fancy keyring so more than one trade can put their locks. It’s standardized here in the US now. One of the only things OSHA has done right.

Leather gloves don’t come off easily, which is actually a bad thing. You get something on them or they get hot and you’re going to the ER that day.

Kevlar is good, come off easily, but almost no manual dexterity.

Leather gloves retain heat like a mofo, kevlar has no dexterity, synthetic like to melt to your fingertips. All gloves have pros and cons.
