I, bear must confess, I play The Isle because I am a furry. It started out with small things, a tendency towards animal-based games, and other media. It only evolved from there. I started role playing as a T-Rex in the wee hours of the night, bellowing in the woods to ward off enemy bulls. That’s when I discovered The Isle. A dream come true, a fantasy.. perfection. I instantly fell in love with the beautiful Utahraptor playable, which had a welcoming community of fellow furries who really showed me the truth. I was a lot more comfortable and spent many a cool summer night at docks, role playing and growing closer with my packmates. Then it happened, everything changed, my mate had died. My guilt was immense, my sadness, immeasurable. I became depressed, sinking slowly into a vicious spiral of self-loathing and grief. The Isle changed me. Made me who I was. The Isle doesn’t make furries, it makes warriors. This tale is for the good of the future, for the good of humanity. Some might call it a cry for help, but I call it an inspiration. Nothing is really important unless it comes with pain, with a lesson. Becoming a furry and playing The Isle made me a better person, maybe you should too.
