It's quite good. I've only laughed at one thing an enemy did. Everything feels and behaves like it should. The open world aspect is something I was initially nervious about. Fromsoft did a fantastic job at creating a world that feels alive.

I'm used to being able to do fast combos and dodging. Elden ring has slower attacks and you have to dodge at the exact right time in the exact right way. Plus keyboard controls are really weird and I can't change them in a meaningful way so I'm getting a controller

Honestly I think the worst part of elden ring combat is that you attack in the direction you're facing, and cant change direction between attacks unless you physically stop pressing buttons for a couple seconds, face the correct direction, and attack again. And you can lock on to enemies but then it also locks your camera at a odd angle that makes it difficult to see them since there's usually bushes, trees, tents, ect in the way

Flashback to like 2012, I'm in middleschool but also not because I was really sick. So while I'm gone the hot new stupid thing middleschoolers were doing was snorting smarties. They crushed up the candy and ya anyway. I was gone the whole time this was happening. Then some kids got caught mimicking drug use with candy in the boys locker room and smarties got banned from the school.
Fast forward another week and I come back from my month long hiatus from almost dieing and everyone starts getting up in my business asking why I snitched and that its my fault smarties are banned. And I'm like ??? I've been gone for a month wtf are you talking about? I got harassed about it for like a few days until one of my friends got sick of it and told everyone that first of all the kids were caught in thr boys locker room and I wasn't even there, was gone for the last month, and almost died. People stopped bothering me about it after that.
