it used to be great as a mining tool but then they fucked up how minerals interact with the environment

mineral chunks i mean, it used to be when they use it, all the minerals fall in a neat little pile, but now they explode and go all over the cave

so if you use it as a gun, good, if you use it to try and take a scouts job and do it poorly, not good

can use it in cryo builds to utilise the temperature shock effect since the plasma charger can do fire damage
