I'm agreeing, I think it's really just about learning signs and symptoms
And since more people own dogs or cats it's more common to know their signs of stress and illness than for like fish or birds
Whut

Toyota Celiaca
And
Toyota MR2
Might make a comeback
god it's ugly lol
i think it's going to be like the third gen
it's gonna grow on me lol
but yeah
AW11 Mr2 is best, of course
but this is cool
headlights are ugly
i have a matte black one
no turbocharger though
due to it being the 87' Australian version
however
unlike the yaris or corolla, where you can just "add" extra decal for their GR lineup
can't really do that with the MR2
so they tried their best
I think the headlights are inspired by the new Camry and the new Prius
a bit
also reminds me of the Lexus LFA
not surprised though
Lexus being Toyota
Yeah thats fair
although
the GR Celica definitely has those headlights
good to know the engine won't be BMW though?
These new Hammerhead headlights will probably come to the rest of the lineup
haven't watched the whole video
but I presume the engine will be for those new GRs?
Probably
bit of a shame that the GR2 MR2 literally no remarkable motifs from any of the other three gens
although
I suppose it's not a true MR2 till Toyota hard confirms the name
But how will they all fit together?
There will be 4 sport cars
- Toyota Supra
- Toyota GR86
- Toyota Celica
- Toyota MR2
Maybe kill the 86 and replace it with the Celica
I suppose Celica will be the Yaris of the 4
being the cheapest
GR86 for young adults with some money
Supra and MR2 for the "top of the line"
Supra being BMW's
and MR2 being true Toyota
Yeah 👍🏼 hopefully the next supra will be a true toyota again and not made by BMW
Damn this is so interesting!! I really like the mr-2, that 2.0 l engine is music to my ears! Like the clutch too with the gap... Toyota rules
400 more ccs than my 87 model!!
Yeah lol...but would you get one if these mr-2 (if) you could or wanted too? Doesnt have to be realistic since it seems to be very expensive. But like its design etc
potentially
i think the only reason I'd buy it is if i have the money
Cool! Yeah i agree with you, ngl, the design on the celica disappointed me lol..it doesnt really give me the celica vibes
NOO...dont kill the 86 🥺
First Animal species of the day (359) :
Southern platy / (Xiphophorus maculatus)
The southern platyfish, common platy, or moonfish (Xiphophorus maculatus) is a species of freshwater fish in family Poeciliidae of order Cyprinodontiformes. A live-bearer, it is closely related to the green swordtail (X. hellerii) and can interbreed with it. It is native to an area of North and Central America stretching from Veracruz, Mexico, to northern Belize.
The southern platyfish grows to a maximum overall length of 6.0 centimetres (2.4 in). Sexual dimorphism is slight, the male's caudal fin being more pointed. The anal fin of the male fish has evolved into a gonopodium, a stick-shaped organ used for reproduction. The female southern platyfish's anal fin is fan shaped. Wild varieties are drab in coloration, lacking the distinctive dark lateral line common to many Xiphophorus species.
X. maculatus prefers slow-moving waters of canals, ditches, and warm springs. Omnivorous, its diet includes both plants and small crustaceans, insects, and annelid worms.
Breeders have developed a multitude of color varieties (e.g. orange, red, yellow, red/black, and black/white) which are common aquarium fish for hobbyists.
The southern platyfish is commonly known simply as the platy (pl. platys or platies),
Like all Live bearers this is how to tell the difference :
Platies are easy to keep and well suited to a community aquarium. They prefer water with a 7.0–8.0 pH, a water hardness of 9.0–19.0 dGH, and a temperature range of 18–25 °C (64–77 °F).[5]
In captivity, they reach maturity in three to four months, and breed readily, the females giving birth to about 20–40 young at a time. Often young are eaten by the adults or other inhabitants of a communal aquarium but given plants and gravel to hide in, some will probably survive as these are hardy fish. Platy young are first seen at approx 7mm long and will use cover to hide from predators and to look for food. Specialist fry food is available but any flake food, frozen or live food that floats their way will be easily consumed
A common statement in the trade is that it is harder to stop them breeding than to make them do so, with ‘surprise’ fry appearing in community tanks regularly.
As a result of selective breeding, platy fish are available in many variations – Salt and Pepper, Coral Red, Red Tuxedo, Black, Blue, Red Wagtail, Mickey Mouse, etc. Therefore, you can pick from dozens of platy types from simple-looking ones to more interesting varieties.
Platy fish are peaceful, well-tempered fish that enjoy the company of others with a similar temperament.
The only time you may notice something different about their behavior is when males are chasing females to reproduce.
This happens quite often, especially when both male and female platies are kept in the same aquarium
Platys are fun

Second Animal species of the day (360) :
Kuhli loach / (Pangio kuhlii)
The true Kuhli loach (Pangio kuhlii), occasionally referred to as eel loach, is a small eel-like freshwater fish belonging to the loach family (Cobitidae). They originate from the island of Java in Indonesia.[2][3] This snake-like creature is very slender and nocturnal.

The kuhli loach is an eel-shaped fish with slightly compressed sides, four pairs of barbels around the mouth, and very small fins. The dorsal fin starts behind the middle of the body, and the anal fin well behind this. The eyes are covered with transparent skin. The body has 10 to 15 dark brown to black vertical bars, and the gaps between them are salmon pink to yellow with a light underside. When the fish is not actively breeding, distinctions between males and females are not readily apparent. However, close observation will reveal that males have a more muscular upper/dorsal cross-section and their pectoral fins tend to be larger, more paddle-shaped, and often have some pigment in them. When breeding,
The natural habitat of the kuhli loach is the sandy beds of slow-moving rivers and clean mountain streams. They are a social fish and are typically found in small clusters (they are not schooling fish but enjoy the company of their species), but are cautious and nocturnal by nature and swim near the bottom where they feed around obstacles. In the wild, the fish spawn communally in very shallow water. The kuhli loach is a bottom dweller that burrows into soft places
The kuhli loach was originally described as Cobitis kuhlii by Achille Valenciennes in 1846 to commemorate Heinrich Kuhl's work as a naturalist and zoologist. In scientific literature, it has been referred to as Acanthophthalmus kuhlii. The genus name Acanthophthalmus is a junior synonym of Pangio. Its older generic name 'Acanthophthalmus' comes from the meaning 'thorn' or 'prickle-eye', after a spine beneath each eye.
aquaria, the true P. kuhlii is rarely, if ever, kept. This is due to the fact that they are endemic to Indonesia Java, where collection of ornamental fish is extremely rare.[2][3] There are many who doubt P. kuhlii has ever even made it into the private aquarium trade.
In an aquarium environment, especially if the gravel is suitably finely grained, Pangio species can burrow into the bottom and there remain unseen for long periods of time, emerging to eat during the night. If the gravel is later disturbed, a hobbyist might well find themselves faced with fish assumed lost a long time ago. They may also occasionally swim into unprotected filter inlets, possibly leading to their deaths

First Animal species of the day (361) :
Peters's elephantnose fish / (Gnathonemus petersii)
Peters's elephant-nose fish (Gnathonemus petersii) is an African freshwater elephantfish in the genus Gnathonemus. Other names in English include elephantnose fish, long-nosed elephant fish, and Ubangi mormyrid, after the Ubangi River. The Latin name petersii is probably for the German naturalist Wilhelm Peters. The fish uses electrolocation to find prey, and has the largest brain-to-body oxygen use ratio of all known vertebrates (around 0.6)
Peters's elephantnose fish is native to the rivers of West and Central Africa, in particular the lower Niger River basin, the Ogun River basin and the upper Chari River. It prefers muddy, slowly moving rivers and pools with cover such as submerged branches. The fish is a dark brown to black in colour, laterally compressed (averaging 23–25 cm (9.1–9.8 in)), with a rear dorsal fin and anal fin of the same length. Its caudal or tail fin is forked. It has two stripes on its lower pendicular. Its most striking feature, as its names suggest, is a trunk-like protrusion on the head. This is not actually a nose, but a sensitive extension of the mouth, that it uses for self-defense, communication, navigation, and finding worms and insects to eat. This organ, called the Schnauzenorgan
covered in electroreceptors, as is much of the rest of its body. The elephantnose uses a weak electric field, which it generates with specialized cells called electrocytes, which evolved from muscle cells, to find food, to navigate in dark or turbid waters, and to find a mate. Peters's elephantnose fish live to about 6–10 years
The elephant nose fish is weakly electric, meaning that it can detect moving prey and worms in the substrate by generating brief electric pulses with the electric organ in its tail. The electroreceptors around its body are sensitive enough to detect the different distortions of the electric field made by objects that conduct or resist electricity.[4] The weak electric fields generated by this fish can be made audible by placing two electrodes in the fish tank, connected to an audio amplifier or a piezoelectric earbud
Peters's elephantnose fish is one of the most commonly available freshwater elephantfish in aquarium stores in the United States. In the aquarium it is timid, preferring a heavily planted environment with subdued lighting, and thrives in a tank of more than 200 litres (44 imp gal; 53 US gal); favourable additions to the fish's aquarium environment are a pipe or hollow log, alongside soft, sandy substrate, allowing the fish to sift through it with its delicate extended lip.
The fish feeds on small worms (bloodworms being the most common) and aquatic invertebrates such as mosquito larvae, but will accept frozen or flake food. Elephantnose fish are typically kept in water of medium hardness with a pH of 6.8 to 7.2 and a temperature of between 26–28 °C (79–82 °F).
Elephantnose fish, though typically docile when kept in captivity, can be aggressive towards other species of fish, though some fare well in community aquarium environments. However, unless kept in an aquarium of over 400 L (88 imp gal; 110 US gal), elephantnose fish are aggressively territorial towards members of their own species. For this reason owners have been recommended not to keep more than one in captivity.
The elephantnose fish has good low light vision. Its eyes use a combination of photonic crystals, parabolic mirrors and a clustered arrangement of rods and cones.[6]
The species has never been bred in captivity, meaning that all aquarium available specimens are wild-caught.[7] This requires the owner to maintain specific water parameters if the fish is to thrive.

First Animal species of the day (362) :
guineafowl puffer | golden puffer / (Arothron meleagris)
Arothron meleagris, commonly known as the guineafowl puffer or golden puffer, is a pufferfish from the Indo-Pacific, and Eastern Pacific. It is occasionally harvested for the aquarium trade. It reaches 50 cm in length. Guineafowl puffers have heavy rounded bodies that are uniformly black with numerous small white spots (black puffer or botete negro), bright yellow spots (golden puffer or botete dorado) or a mixture of the two morphologies with bright yellow spots and black patches.
They have large blunt heads with short snouts and are equipped with a set of massive teeth. They have small and similarly shaped anal and dorsal fins that are well back on their body. Their caudal fin base is long and deep and their caudal fin is rounded. Their body is covered with small denticles that resemble coarse sandpaper. When this fish is scared or frightened, they inflate and make themselves larger, exposing the denticles.
The most extensive study done of the color patterning of Arothron meleagris is by Jinxiang and Tyler in 1986. In this study, A. meleagris has three distinctive color variations. The first most common color variation that it possesses is a background color consisting of dark brown with many white, and much less commonly, black or dark brown, spots on its whole body
The spots located on the rear of A. meleagris are more minuscule compared to the spots on its sides, a characteristic that is especially prevalent on those that are located in the Indian Ocean.
Another color variation it possesses that is as common is a yellow background color covered with black spots around its body. In regards to its fins, Jinxiang and Tyler note that "The distal edges of the dorsal, anal, and pectoral fins are whitish, while more basally these fins are yellow, with the rays light brownish toward the more distal portion of the basal region.".[2] Additionally, the caudal fin is either yellow or a mix of yellow and light brown, with the areas near its gills having a light brown color.
Arothron meleagris is highly abundant within the Indian Ocean[1] and the eastern Pacific Ocean reefs[12] while being less commonplace on the rocky reefs of the eastern Pacific.[13] While its population saw a large increase from 1987 to 2002 in Costa Rica,[14] it may be decreasing due to the destruction of its habitats.[1]
Additionally, the marine aquarium trade may also have contributed to the decrease in the population of A. meleagris'. This is because it is considered a high-priced product in the marine aquarium trade
Arothron meleagris is similar to Arothron hispidus, as it is also known to be a very solitary species of pufferfish. This is because A. hispidus usually rests during the night, often found swimming below ledges and fissures on Kona reefs and amidst boulders and corals during the day.[16] It also wards off predators by inflating its body to expand its size, thereby making it less at risk of being eaten

Next species is a tiny Freshwater puffer fish :
Dwarf / pea pufferfish
Yes you heard it right, there are some few species of puffer fish the lives in freshwater in rivers and river deltas
I didn't know that o:
pea puffers are also great for getting rid of bladder snails
oh they are precious
Second Animal species of the day (363) :
Dwarf | Pea Puffer / (Carinotetraodon travancoricus)
The dwarf pufferfish (Carinotetraodon travancoricus), also known as the Malabar pufferfish, pygmy pufferfish, or pea pufferfish, is a small freshwater pufferfish endemic to Kerala and southern Karnataka in Southwest India. They are popular in aquaria for their bright colours and small size. At a maximum total length of 3.5 cm, dwarf pufferfish are one of the smallest pufferfish in the world. They closely resemble the related Carinotetraodon imitator, and the two can be difficult to distinguish. C. imitator was not recognised as a different species until 1999.
Dwarf pufferfish dwell at the bottom of heavily vegetated waterways, predating small animals. Unlike other species of pufferfish, they are found in large groups in the wild. They breed throughout most of the year, with spawning pairs producing 1–5 eggs in 1–4 day intervals. Habitat loss and overharvesting for the aquarium trade threaten wild populations of dwarf pufferfish.
The maximum documented size is 3.5 cm (1.4 in) total length (TL),[9] with individuals typically reaching less than 2.5 cm (0.98 in) TL,[5] making dwarf pufferfish one of the smallest pufferfish in the world.[8][10] Both sexes are primarily greenish-yellow, with dark green to brown-black iridescent patches on the flanks and dorsal surface. Patterns and colouration vary considerably between individuals. Their pectoral fins are short, fan-shaped, and described as "slightly emarginate", that is to say, slightly indented at the tip. The dorsal and anal fins are situated opposite each other toward the posterior of the fish, both short and round, while the caudal fin is larger than the other fins and truncate, in that it terminates in a more-or-less vertical edge. Their bodies are round and oblong
Although closely related to marine pufferfish, they are not found in salt water, and reports to the contrary are based on misidentification.[19] Dwarf pufferfish are one of only 27 known species of Tetraodontidae adapted to freshwater.[20] They are a potamodromous species,[21] meaning they migrate within freshwater river systems,[22] and are endemic to rivers, lakes, and estuaries
Dwarf pufferfish are euryphagous carnivores in that they consume a wide variety of animals. Dwarf pufferfish favour insect larvae but will rely on crustaceans and annelids as alternate feed when the availability of preferable prey decreases.[35] Their diet in the wild mainly consists of small animals such as water fleas, rotifers, copepods, and seed shrimp, and aquatic larvae such as those of Odonata, Hemiptera, mayflies, and flies, with some amounts of plant matter, largely diatoms and green algae.[23][35] Sand and detritus, presumably ingested by mistake when feeding on small, bottom-dwelling animals, have also been found in their gut
The mid-dorsal and mid-ventral skin ridges of males become brown in colour during the spawning season. The belly of the female will swell, and the courting male will frequently chase the female and nibble at its belly. The female will then search for a suitable location to spawn while the male chases away other males.[20] In the aquarium, dwarf pufferfish are often plant-spawners, laying eggs in plants, including java moss, or on the substrate hidden within plants.
valued as ornamental fish in aquaria.[42][1] Dwarf pufferfish have become popular as aquarium fish thanks to their attractive colours, small size, "puppy dog eyes", and relative ease of maintenance.[10][35] The dwarf pufferfish is also one of the few aquarium fish to regularly eat small, live snails and thus can be helpful in controlling snail populations

it’s purely a name thing
Saurus means lizard
there’s a recently discovered ceratopsian named Gremlin, after all

Styracosaurus is part of the ceratopsians it doesn’t need a “ceratops” in its name
Saurus means lizard
Taurus means bull

First Animal species of the day (364) :
Red discus / (Symphysodon discus)
Symphysodon discus, the red discus or Heckel discus, is a species of cichlid endemic to the Amazon Basin of Brazil, where found in the lower Rio Negro, upper Uatumã, Nhamundá, Trombetas and Abacaxis
Symphysodon (colloquially known as discus or discus fish) is a genus of cichlids native to the Amazon river basin in Brazil. Due to their distinctive shape, calm behavior, many bright colors and patterns, and dedicated parenting techniques, discus are popular as freshwater aquarium fish, and their aquaculture in several countries in Asia (notably Thailand)[1] is a major industry.[2][3][4][5] They are sometimes referred to as pompadour fish.[6][7] The discus fish has attracted a cult following of collectors and has created a multimillion dollar international industry complete with shows, competitions, and reputable online breeders
Like cichlids from the genus Pterophyllum (angelfish), all Symphysodon species have a laterally compressed body shape. In contrast to Pterophyllum, however, extended finnage is absent giving Symphysodon a more rounded shape. It is this body shape from which their common name, "discus", is derived.[17] The sides of the fish are frequently patterned in shades of green, red, brown, and blue. Some of the more brightly marked variants are the result of selective breeding by aquarists and do not exist in the wild
Discus. are highly social, typically occurring in groups that may number many dozens of individuals, which is unique among cichlids of the Americas.[19] When breeding, the pair moves away from the group, possibly to reduce the risk of cannibalism of the young.[19] As with most cichlids, brood care is highly developed with both the parents caring for the young.[21] Additionally, adult discus produce a secretion ("discus milk")[22] through their skin, on which the larvae live during their first 4 weeks.[23] During the first two weeks, the parents stay near their young allowing them to feed easily. In the last 2 weeks, they swim away, resulting in the young being gradually "weaned off" and starting to fend for themselves
This species is essentially restricted to blackwater habitats with a high temperature of 26–32 °C (79–90 °F) and low pH of 4.2–5.2.[3]
This species grows to a length of 20 centimetres (7.9 in) SL.[4]
This species can also be found in the aquarium trade.
inhabit the margins of floodplain lakes and rivers in the lowland Amazon basin,[19] where they are part of the highly diverse Neotropical fish fauna. S. discus is restricted to blackwater habitats, but periodically these may experience brief floods of whitewater.
Discus are kept by fishkeepers in the home aquarium, where they are valued for their striking appearance.[27] They are considered difficult to keep, due to strict requirements for water quality and the need to be kept in groups.[21] Breeders have selected for individuals with more adaptability to tap water conditions.[28]
In home aquariums, discus live for an average of 10 years, but can live up to 15 years, and can grow up to 8 inches. Like many fish in the home aquarium, they will eat almost anything that fits within their mouth.[29] Due to their size, they often require a minimum 55 US gal (210 L) – 75 US gal (280 L) aquarium
Overall this fish is one of the most challenging fish to take care of they are very fragile to any changes
There are many stories of them dying out during water changes, electricity randomly shutting off from the building for few minutes and discus are the only ones to die out of all other species

First Animal species of the day (365) :
Tiger barb / (Puntigrus tetrazona)
The tiger barb or Sumatra barb (Puntigrus tetrazona),[2] is a species of tropical cyprinid fish. The natural geographic range reportedly extends throughout the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo in Indonesia, with unsubstantiated sightings reported in Cambodia.[3] Tiger barbs are also found in many other parts of Asia, and with little reliable collection data over long periods of time, definite conclusions about their natural geographic range
The tiger barb can grow to about 7–10 centimeters (2.8–3.9 inches) long and 3–4 centimeters (1.2–1.6 inches) wide, although they are often smaller when kept in captivity. Some can grow to around 13 centimeters as well.
Four tiger-like black vertical bands on an orange-yellow body make it obvious where this member of the barb family got its common name. Red-edged fins and a red face add even more color to the popular tiger barb. In recent years, selective breeding has created several color variations that include green, black, red, and albino. A genetically modified glow version of the tiger barb occurs in many colors.
Reaching an adult size of 2 1/2 to 3 inches, they are large enough to avoid being eaten by large fish, yet small enough to keep a school of them in a modest-sized aquarium. For a striking display, set up a species-specific tank with a half dozen of each color variation of tiger barb, complemented by live plants.
They are a social fish but avoid putting them with anything smaller than them they are bully fin nippers
Tiger barbs have been reported to be found in clear or turbid shallow waters of moderately flowing streams. They live in Indonesia, Borneo, tropical climates and prefer water with a 6.0–7.5
In their native habitat, these fish inhabit quiet, tree-lined rivers and tributaries filled with sand, rocks, and thick vegetation where they can find insects, algae, invertebrates, and detritus from plants. They prefer clear, highly-oxygenated water.
Their average lifespan is 7 years. When exposed to decreased temperature levels, the Tiger barb fish experiences a change in body color. The male fish tend to display a bright red color in the dorsal fin, ventral fin, caudal fin, and snout. When the water temperature drops to 21 °C, both the male and the female fish were observed to have a decayed body color. Tigers barbs tolerate a wide range of water conditions, but do best in soft, slightly acidic water. The ideal tank should have a large open area for swimming with an abundance of live or artificial plants around the periphery of the tank. Temperature is not critical, and this fish can even be kept in an unheated tank. Provide good lighting and a fine substrate to complete the setup.
They are omnivores Accepting of virtually any food, tiger barbs should be given a variety of foods to maintain a healthy immune system. Include quality pelleted or flake food, as well as live and frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and beef heart. They will quickly gobble up small aquatic invertebrates and even cooked vegetables.
Females have a broader, more rounded belly than males and are larger and heavier. Males are identified by their bright coloring and the red nose they develop during the spawning process
The tiger barb was also used to make genetically modified fish sold as GloFish (fluorescent colored fish).

Second Animal species of the day (366) :
Oceanic whitetip shark / (Carcharhinus longimanus)
The oceanic whitetip shark (Carcharhinus longimanus) is a large pelagic requiem shark inhabiting tropical and warm temperate seas. It has a stocky body with long, white-tipped, rounded fins. The species is typically solitary, though they may gather in large numbers at food concentrations. Bony fish and cephalopods are the main components of its diet and females give live birth.
Though slow-moving, the shark is opportunistic and aggressive, and is reputed to be dangerous to shipwreck survivors. The IUCN Red List considers the species to be critically endangered. Recent studies show steeply declining populations as they are harvested for their fins and meat. As with other shark species, the whitetip faces mounting fishing pressure throughout its range.
This shark is found worldwide between 45°N and 43°S latitude.[3] It lives in deep, open oceans, with a temperature greater than 18 °C (64 °F),[3] It prefers water temperatures above 20 °C (68 °F), and up to 28 °C (82 °F) but can also be found in waters as cool as 15 °C (59 °F) but avoids temperatures lower than this.[6][7] It was once extremely common and widely distributed, and still inhabits a wide band around the globe; however, recent studies suggest that its numbers have drastically declined
The shark spends most of its time in the upper layer of the ocean—to a depth of 150 m (490 ft)[3]—and prefers off-shore, deep-ocean areas. According to longline capture data, increasing distance from land correlates to a greater population of sharks.[5] It is sometimes found close to land, in waters as shallow as only 37 m (120 ft) deep, mainly around oceanic islands and narrow continental shelves
C. longimanus' most distinguishing characteristics are its long, wing-like pectoral and dorsal fins. The fins are significantly larger than most other shark species, and are conspicuously rounded. The shark's snout is rounded and its eyes are circular, with nictitating membranes
The oceanic whitetip shark is a robust, large-bodied shark. The largest specimen ever caught measured at more than 4 m (13 ft) in length, though they usually grow up to 3 m (10 ft) in length and 150 kg (330 lb) in weight
The species is grey-bronze dorsally and white ventrally.[6] As its name suggests, most of its fins (dorsal, pectoral, pelvic and caudal) have white tips. Along with white tips, the fins may be mottled, and young specimens can have black marks
The oceanic whitetip is typically solitary, though gatherings have been observed where food is plentiful.[6] It swims during the day and night. The oceanic whitetip is usually solitary and slow-moving, and tends to cruise near the top of the water column, in open water
The species feeds mainly on pelagic cephalopods, like squid, and bony fish,[3] such as lancetfish, oarfish, barracuda, jacks, mahi-mahi, marlin, tuna, and mackerel.
Mating and birthing seems to occur in early summer in the northwest Atlantic Ocean and southwest Indian Ocean, although females captured in the Pacific have been found with embryos year round, suggesting a longer mating season there
As of 2019, the IUCN Red List list the oceanic whitetip shark as critically endangered, as their numbers appear to have decreased in every ocean region they inhabit. While their total global population is unknown, they are estimated to have declined by around 98 percent "with the highest probability of >80% reduction over three generation lengths (61.2 years)

First Animal species of the day (367) :
Zebra shark / (Stegostoma tigrinum)
The zebra shark (Stegostoma tigrinum) is a species of carpet shark and the sole member of the family Stegostomatidae. It is found throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific, frequenting coral reefs and sandy flats to a depth of 62 m (203 ft). Adult zebra sharks are distinctive in appearance, with five longitudinal ridges on a cylindrical body, a low caudal fin comprising nearly half the total length, and usually a pattern of dark spots on a pale background. Young zebra sharks under 50–90 cm (20–35 in) long have a completely different pattern, consisting of light vertical stripes on a brown background, and lack the ridges. This species attains a length of 2.5 m (8.2 ft).
Zebra sharks are nocturnal and spend most of the day resting motionless on the sea floor. At night, they actively hunt for molluscs, crustaceans, small bony fishes, and possibly sea snakes inside holes and crevices in the reef. Though solitary for most of the year, they form large seasonal aggregations. The zebra shark is oviparous: females produce several dozen large egg capsules, which they anchor to underwater structures via adhesive tendrils. Innocuous to humans and hardy in captivity, zebra sharks are popular subjects of ecotourism dives and public aquaria. The World Conservation Union has assessed this species as Endangered worldwide, as it is taken by commercial fisheries across most of its range (except off Australia) for meat, fins, and liver oil.
There is robust morphological support for the placement of the zebra shark, the whale shark (Rhincodon typus), and the nurse sharks (Ginglymostoma cirratum, Nebrius ferrugineus, and Pseudoginglymostoma brevicaudatum) in a single clade. However, the interrelationships between these taxa are disputed by various authors.[7] Dingerkus (1986) suggested that the whale shark is the closest relative of the zebra shark, and proposed a single family encompassing all five species in the clade.
The zebra shark has a cylindrical body with a large, slightly flattened head and a short, blunt snout. The eyes are small and placed on the sides of the head; the spiracles are located behind them and are as large or larger. The last 3 of the 5 short gill slits are situated over the pectoral fin bases, and the fourth and fifth slits are much closer together than the others. Each nostril has a short barbel and a groove running from it to the mouth.[9] The mouth is nearly straight, with three lobes on the lower lip and furrows at the corners. There are 28–33 tooth rows in the upper jaw and 22–32 tooth rows in the lower jaw; each tooth has a large central cusp flanked by two smaller ones
The color pattern in young sharks is dark brown above and light yellow below, with vertical yellow stripes and spots. As the shark grows to 50–90 cm (20–35 in) long, the dark areas begin to break up, changing the general pattern from light-on-dark stripes to dark-on-light spots.[3] There is substantial variation in pattern amongst adults, which can be used to identify particular individuals
Bottom-dwelling in nature, the zebra shark is found from the intertidal zone to a depth of 62 m (203 ft) over the continental and insular shelves. Adults and large juveniles frequent coral reefs, rubble, and sandy areas.[3] There are unsubstantiated reports of this species from fresh water in the Philippines.[5] Zebra sharks sometimes cross oceanic waters to reach isolated seamounts.[10] Movements of up to 140 km (87 mi) have been recorded for individual sharks
During the day, zebra sharks are sluggish and usually found resting on the sea bottom, sometimes using their pectoral fins to prop up the front part of their bodies and facing into the current with their mouths open to facilitate respiration. Reef channels are favored resting spots, since the tightened space yields faster, more oxygenated water.[12] They become more active at night or when food becomes available. Zebra sharks are strong and agile swimmers, propelling themselves with pronounced anguilliform (eel-like) undulations of the body and tail.[3] In a steady current, they have been seen hovering in place with sinuous waves of their tails.
Zebra sharks are usually solitary, though aggregations of 20–50 individuals have been recorded.

Second Animal species of the day (368) :
Asian arowana / (Scleropages formosus)
The Asian arowana (Scleropages formosus) comprises several phenotypic varieties of freshwater fish distributed geographically across Southeast Asia.[3] While most consider the different varieties to belong to a single species,[4][5][6][3][7] work by Pouyaud et al. (2003)[8] differentiates these varieties into multiple species. They have several other common names, including Asian bonytongue, dragonfish, and a number of names specific to the different color varieties.
Native to Southeast Asia, Asian arowanas inhabit blackwater rivers, slow-moving waters flowing through forested swamps and wetlands. Adults feed on other fish, while juveniles feed on insects.[9]
These popular aquarium fish have special cultural significance in areas influenced by Chinese culture. The name 'dragonfish' stems from their resemblance to the Chinese dragon. This popularity has had both positive and negative effects on their status as endangered species.
Asian arowanas grow up to 90 cm (35 in) total length.[9] Like all Scleropages, Asian arowanas have long bodies; large, elongated pectoral fins, dorsal and anal fins located far back on the body; and a much larger caudal fin than that of their South American relative, the silver arowana, Osteoglossum bicirrhosum. The mouth is oblique with a very wide gape. The prominent lower jaw has two barbels at its tip. The gill rakers are stout. Asian arowanas bear teeth on many bones of the mouth, including the jaws, vomer, palatines, pterygoids, parasphenoid, and tongue.
Asian arowana scales are large, cycloid, and, in some varieties, metallic-coloured, with a distinctive mosaic pattern of raised ribs.[8][14] The lateral scales are arranged in horizontal rows numbered from the most ventral (first level) to the most dorsal (fifth level), with dorsal scales designated the sixth level.
Unlike most fish, the Asian arowana reaches sexual maturity relatively late, after 3–4 yr. The females produce few eggs, 30-100, which are quite large. After the eggs are fertilized, the Asian arowana exhibits great parental care with paternal mouthbrooding. Both the fertilized eggs and larvae are brooded within the male's mouth.
get intercepted
They spend the day in the protection of Pandanus roots or other structures, and feed at night.[18] It is normally seen alone or in small groups.
Asian arowanas are listed as endangered by the current IUCN Red List, with the most recent evaluation taking place in 2019.[1] International trade in these fishes is controlled under the Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES), under which it was placed on Appendix I, the most restrictive category, in 1975

Third Animal species of the day (369) :
Basking shark / (Cetorhinus maximus)
The basking shark (Cetorhinus maximus) is the second-largest living shark and fish,[4] after the whale shark. It is one of three plankton-eating shark species, along with the whale shark and megamouth shark. Typically, basking sharks reach 7.9 m (26 ft) in length. It is usually greyish-brown, with mottled skin, with the inside of the mouth being white in colour. The caudal fin has a strong lateral keel and a crescent shape. Other common names include bone shark, elephant shark, sailfish, and sunfish. In Orkney, it is called hoe-mother (contracted homer), meaning "the mother of the picked dogfish"
The basking shark is a cosmopolitan migratory species found in all the world's temperate oceans. A slow-moving filter feeder, its common name derives from its habit of feeding at the surface, appearing to be basking in the warmer water there. It has anatomical adaptations for filter-feeding, such as a greatly enlarged mouth and highly developed gill rakers. Its snout is conical, and the gill slits extend around the top and bottom of its head.
Basking sharks have been shown from satellite tracking to overwinter in both continental shelf (less than 200 m or 660 ft) and deeper waters.[7] They may be found in either small shoals or alone. Despite their large size and threatening appearance, basking sharks are not aggressive and are harmless to humans.
The basking shark is a coastal-pelagic shark found worldwide in boreal to warm-temperate waters. It lives around the continental shelf and occasionally enters brackish waters.[11] It is found from the surface down to at least 910 m (2,990 ft). It prefers temperatures of 8 to 14.5 °C (46.4 to 58.1 °F) but has been confirmed to cross the much warmer waters at the equator.[12] It is often seen close to land, including in bays with narrow openings. The shark follows plankton
The basking shark regularly reaches 7–8.5 m (23–28 ft) in length with some individuals reaching 9–11 m (30–36 ft).[15][16][17][18][19] The average length of an adult is around 7.9 m (26 ft) weighing about 4.65 t (4.58 long tons; 5.13 short tons).[15] Historical sightings suggest basking sharks around 12 m (39 ft) in length, including three basking sharks estimated at ~40 fod (12.5 metres (41 ft)) and a one ~45 fod (14 metres (46 ft)) were reported between 1884 and 1905, but these visual estimates lack good evidence
They possess the typical shark lamniform body plan and have been mistaken for great white sharks.[25] The two species can be easily distinguished by the basking shark's cavernous jaw, up to 1 m (3 ft 3 in) in width, longer and more obvious gill slits that nearly encircle the head and are accompanied by well-developed gill rakers, smaller eyes, much larger overall size and smaller average girth. Great whites possess large, dagger-like teeth; basking shark teeth are much smaller 5–6 mm (0.20–0.24 in)
Basking sharks do not hibernate and are active year-round.[7] In winter, basking sharks often move to deeper depths, even down to 900 m (3,000 ft) and have been tracked making vertical movements consistent with feeding on overwintering zooplankto
They are slow-moving sharks (feeding at about 2 knots (3.7 kilometres per hour; 2.3 miles per hour))[28] and do not evade approaching boats (unlike great white sharks). They are not attracted to chum.
The basking shark is large and slow, but it can breach jump entirely out of the water.
Basking sharks are usually solitary, but during summer months in particular, they aggregate in dense patches of zooplankton, where they engage in social behaviour. They can form sex-segregated shoals, usually in small numbers (three or four), but reportedly up to 100 individuals.[14] Small schools in the Bay of Fundy and the Hebrides have been seen swimming nose to tail in circles; their social behaviour in summer months has been studied and is thought to represent courtship
Basking sharks have few predators. White sharks have been reported to scavenge on the remains of these sharks. Killer whales have been observed feeding on basking sharks off California in the US and New Zealand. Lampreys are often seen attached to them, although they are unlikely to be able to cut through the shark's thick skin
Aside from direct catches, by-catches in trawl nets have been one of several threats to basking sharks. In New Zealand, basking sharks had been abundant historically; however, after the mass by-catches recorded in the 1990s and 2000s,[48] confirmations of the species became very scarce
The IUCN Red List indicates this as an endangered species.

First Animal species of the day (370) :
Nervous shark / (Carcharhinus cautus)
The nervous shark (Carcharhinus cautus) is a species of requiem shark, and part of the family Carcharhinidae, so named because of its timid behavior in regard to humans. It is common in shallow, coastal waters off northern Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.
A small brownish or grayish shark typically measuring 1.0–1.3 m (3.3–4.3 ft) long, this species has a short, blunt snout, oval eyes, and a relatively large second dorsal fin. The leading margins of most fins are finely edged with black, and the lower caudal/Tail fin lobe is black-tipped.
The nervous shark has a rather stout, spindle-shaped body and a short, broadly rounded snout. The anterior margin of each nostril is extended into a slender nipple-shaped lobe. The moderately large eyes are horizontally oval in shape and equipped with nictitating membranes. The mouth lacks conspicuous furrows at the corners and contains 25–30 upper and 23–28 lower tooth rows. The upper teeth are narrow and angled, with coarsely serrated edges. The lower teeth are more slender and upright in shape, and have finer serrations. The five pairs of gill slits are medium in length
The nervous shark is found over continental and insular shelves off northern Australia from Shark Bay in the west to Moreton Bay in the east, as well as off Papua New Guinea and around the Solomon Islands.[2] It is among the most common sharks in Darwin Harbor, the Gulf of Carpentaria, and Shark Bay.[11] This species generally inhabits shallow inshore waters, to a depth of at least 45 m (148 ft).[9] It seems to particularly favor mangrove-lined areas with sandy-muddy bottoms and avoids areas with dense seagrass cover
The diet of the nervous shark consists mainly of small teleost fishes (including silversides, smelt-whitings, wrasses, and grunters). Crustaceans (including prawns, crabs, and mantis shrimps) and molluscs (predominantly cephalopods but also bivalves and gastropods) constitute secondary food sources.[13][14] This shark is also known to occasionally prey on the semiaquatic snakes Cerberus rynchops and Fordonia leucobalia.[15] A known parasite of the nervous shark is the myxosporean Kudoa carcharhini.
The juvenile growth rate is high for a shark; males and females mature sexually at around 84 and 91 cm (33 and 36 in), respectively, in Darwin Harbour, and 91 and 101 cm (36 and 40 in), respectively, in Shark Bay. The age at maturity is around four years for males and six years for females; the maximum lifespan is at least 12 years for males and 16 years for females.
Shy and difficult to approach, the nervous shark is harmless to humans.[4] It is occasionally marketed for food.[2] This species is susceptible to being caught incidentally in coastal gillnets

sadly missed it because no internet but have finally artived at vacation home
Have been itching to make these.
Excuse me where were these hiding 👀
Your gonna learn about them today
Region: French alps, border with Switserland
Anyone who knows what it is. Eurasian gryphon?
@modest isle
Could be a golden eagle but definitely seems like a Griffon Vulture
I just watched a pair of deer casually stroll up to a family near a parking lot and steal some food
here is a video of one of them
aren‘t even fully grown yet
The wildlife is becoming bolder
This is not good
We had to teach 3 baby squirrel siblings that people and dogs are scary this year
Straight up almost got eaten by Candy
coloration seems off for it to be a golden eagle i think
Yeah people need to leave wildlife alone
Yea, especially in parks with a lot of tourism.
Me and my family reached a lake with a lot of other tourists there were ducks just chilling a meter away from us. Ofcourse because Humans have to be uther pieces of garbadge some started throwing rocks in their direction
That's awful
Ya the towns around where I live had to put up "don't feed the waterfowl" signs around a bunch of lakes this year
The people getting out of their cars to pet a bison for a picture are a common example of this
and when they get killed by the animal, ppl demand the animal to be shot.
disgusting
I can't get started on that stuff... It's too depressing and I get heated

discord?
you doing good?
when will you send my message?
here are some more videos I filmed today
uhh
okay
lets try that again
turns out the videos with the ducks are too long for discord to comprehent
Yeah its annoying

First Animal species of the day (371) :
Forktail blueeye rainbowfish / (Pseudomugil furcatus)
The forktail blue-eye (Pseudomugil furcatus) is a diminutive species of rainbowfish in the subfamily Pseudomugilinae. It is endemic to Papua New Guinea, south-east of Popondetta, where it is found in rainforest streams.
Pseudomugil is a genus of fish in the subfamily Pseudomugilinae endemic to Australia and New Guinea, where they are found in freshwater rivers and streams and bodies of brackish water
Members of this genus have slender bodies and two dorsal fins. They are usually sexually dimorphic.[3] The name of this genus is a combination of pseudo meaning "false" and mugil meaning "mullet", referring to the resemblance of the body shape of this genus to that of the unrelated mullets
It used to be placed in the genus Popondetta, and even separated as Popondichthys, but this is now considered erroneous.
The Blue Eye Forktail Rainbowfish is an excellent inhabitant for any community or planted aquarium. Also known as the Blue-Eyed Forktail or Furcata Rainbowfish, it is native to the densely planted rainforest streams of eastern Papua New Guinea. This fish has proven to be very adaptable in aquaria, and we are pleased to offer extremely high-quality, tank-raised specimens.
The Blue Eye Forktail Rainbowfish features some of the most impressive coloration available in freshwater fish, with their gorgeous, bright blue eyes being especially impressive. It has a gray to green body coloration with bright yellow edges on all of its fins with black margins on the rear dorsal, anal, and caudal (tail) fins. While these colors are more faint in juveniles, they intensify as the fish reaches adulthood as long as a varied diet of high-quality omnivorous foods are provided. The best coloration can be achieved in schools of 6 or more, with multiple males as well as females. Omnivorous flake foods as well as live, freeze-dried and frozen foods will make an excellent staple diet. Hardy aquarium plants will not be bothered.
As with many fish that inhabit the middle and upper areas of the aquarium, the Forktail Rainbowfish is prone to jumping occasionally. A hood/canopy or lower water level is recommended to ensure that this fish does not jump out of the aquarium. The only other housing requirements for this fish are clean, stable water conditions and ample areas of cover, particularly vegetation
Fork tail Rainbowfish tend to be a bit pricier than your average tropical fish, and Pseudomugil rainbows do not live very long — maybe two or three years
he forktailed rainbowfish, Pseudomugil furcatus, is easy to breed, beautifully colored and relatively hardy. Less than two inches when fully grown, this small rainbowfish fits in well with other small shoaling fish in a well-planted community aquarium
Cold showers are nice

What are you doing in Ireland
do you think it could be an albino skin player?
Vacation
I see
We have enough of those in Germany
Oh yeah isn’t Germany like one of the largest producers of potatoes
I caught the sunfish once
Beautifull country
I want to go there
Idk but it‘s a stereotype about germany in some countries
Ocean Sunfish
I did not catch that

These fish always gets eaten by seals 🦭 @azure oar
And they live their lives being half eaten sunfish
I had to spend like a day in the car and a day in the most uncomfortable ferry cabin ever but it was. 1000% worth it
But I’m stuck in Norway for now
Meanwhile Norway:

I like the fish even more now

Thats even more beautifull
unless I achive my biggest dream and move to Finland I will probably never get a chance to go to norway tho
Norway is beautiful but expensive to travel around in and I unfortunately live in the south east of norway which isn’t the most spectacular in scenery
Yea, the most remote areas are always the most beautifull areas sadly.
It‘s almost as if humans ruin everything
Hmmm
couldn‘t be, we never did something bad to the enviroment
We would never
True, im in french alps now and like there arent a lot of houses but most fields u see are cow pastures, ruining nature. The mointains look nice from a distance untill u get close and see its all cow pasture
Yea, pastures do ruin a lot of areas
thats why Ireland is so cool because they have free roaming sheep that feed on natural fields only
People realized the “middle-age bullcrap” wasn't too far off
Too smart of an explanation. Do it again.
Erm uh the birds are putting ideas into our heads to hide the truth

Alpine marmmot ?
Since there are 15 species
Ye alpine
Yeah this specific species of marmots comes in multiple fur colors
I dont think theres other species in the alps
Most other species are found in north america i think
Marmots are large ground squirrels in the genus Marmota, with 15 species living in Asia, Europe, and North America. These herbivores are active during the summer, when they can often be found in groups, but are not seen during the winter, when they hibernate underground. They are the heaviest members of the squirrel family.
Marmots are large ro...
Look under “subgenera amd species”
All of them belong in the same genus
Ye only alpine marmot in the alps
15 species 💀
I mean for a rodent its not that much tbh
True
Iirc rodents are like 30+ % of all mammals
I also saw a stoat, deer, badger (dead), pink grasshopper, tons of birds of prey like falcons and vultures, snek and i think a bearded vulture but im not sure on that one
and a fox
No fish ?
guys, look, it‘s the funny bird
I'm sorry but welcome to the club
last time i tried upgrading to windows 11 it bricked my windows
so far I have nothing but distain for win 11
had to delete everything
that can happen when you upgrade an OS, always good to have a backup of the previous before doing that
I got a whole new PC so just installed win 11 on it. I am regretting my choice every time I use it
Why does everyone hate windows 11
I thought people didn't like it because of design or something
whats up with it
still tempted to "upgrade"
Essay incoming
i want to know the ins and outs of this
Not user friendly/intuitive
You can't find all your settings through the settings search some require unnecessary roundabout ways to get there
geforce experience shadowplay works exactly 1x if you're lucky then you have to restart pc if you want to use it again. And maybe it'll work
Win+shift+S for snip tool is jank. It'll "work" for a second then the pc goes "oh but you pressed the windows key let me pull up the desktop!"
Tabbing out of games is a pain, half the time even though you selected the correct window it'll put the game back over it but act like there's a window open ontop so you have to alt+tab again. Also messes up when alt+tab back into the game.
Overall just extremely frustrating to use if you like using shadowplay, taking screenshots, or tabbing in/out of a game
Oh
I don't think I have any of those issues besides when I alt tab and it doesn't open what window I alt tabbed to
So I have to alt tab a second time
ya the alt tab thing is annoying x(
I might just be really unlucky with this PC. It's the one that was back and forth for 6 months for troubleshooting and repairs
but there shouldn't be any issues b/c these parts are all 100% new, and the OS is also a fresh install
Hm I see
it's not like settings have been changed or messed with
yeah dont think ill be getting it then lol xd
dont want to risk bricking my windows install again anyway lol
I installed windows 11 like months ago
technically same lol
first one installed wrong and caused computer to rendomly crash to bios
finally convinced the repair place that maybe the OS is corrupted and can we do a fresh install. And wow it fixed all the problems
the first 2 or 3 times we brought it in though the MB was bad, then the power supply was bad I don't remember the exact order anymore it was too long ago now

Samw

Marvelous spatuletail hummingbird. That is all. :>
- Marvelous spatuletail hummingbird
It would have been better if the species was named :
- spatuletail hummingbird ✅
The word Marvelous ruins the entire name why add a word that isn’t needed to be added in the first place
Stupid ahh scientists when you tell them to name species :
Whats next they are gonna name : “Hammerhead Smalltooth sand tiger shark ??”
Sevengill Whitetip Angel Nurse Thresher Greenland Bigtooth Smalltooth Sand Tiger Shark
It's actually not called "marvelous spatuletail hummingbird", it's just "marvelous spatuletail". I messed that up. It is indeed a hummingbird though.

What enough I have to do I don't know so well
that's Temu, lol
but you're not allowed to advertise links like such anyways
best to ask your friends
yeah and i wouldnt be surprised if temu could be used for scam links
lets just avoid posting any and all links if able
Spoofing a link is hella easy. Its done with steam all the time, it’d be easier with Temu.

Thats wild
Christmas 2025 is in 187,589 hours
Thanks
I feel like you might be a little off there
Nuhuh
if there's 8,760 hours in a year
187589/8760= 21.41 years
So 187,589 hours is approximately 21 years, 151 days, and 5 hours
lol it's not an issue x)
I was just like "hm that seems like alot
I wonder how much that actually is"
I’d say it was at LEAST one day
i also like the pachycephalosaurus!!
respectable tbh
thank you! whats your favorite dinosaur?
