The red tegu (Salvator rufescens) is a lizard native to western Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. It is sold in the pet trade around the world due to its ease of care and relatively docile nature.
Range :
As hatchlings, most red tegus display little, if any, red coloration. The red tegu grows rapidly, typically reaching maturity in two to three years. It is not uncommon for well-fed juveniles to experience growth spurts of more than an inch per week. They are typically brownish-green with black strips across their width and several broken white stripes down their length. They develop red coloration as they mature; males are usually brighter than females.[4][5] Adult females can reach 91 cm (just under 3 ft) in length. Males are significantly larger, reaching up to 140 cm (4.5 ft) and developing large jowls.
In the wild, red tegus are diurnal and terrestrial. Living in a temperate climate in Argentina, they brumate in the winter, burying themselves and remaining largely dormant during the coldest periods, in some areas for up to seven months. They also burrow as a matter of habit at other times of year. In the ecotone between the arid Chaco and the Espinal of central Argentina they are known to naturally hybridise with the Argentine black and white tegu (Salvator merianae) with a stable hybrid zone
The red tegu is a very opportunistic feeder. Wild specimens will eat a variety of plant and animal matter: fruits, vegetables, insects, rodents, birds, and fish. Red tegus raised in captivity will often be more picky eaters, especially as juveniles, and may prefer a diet of mostly meat.
Being omnivores, red tegus will eat a diverse range of foods, with a focus on animal protein, including small to medium rodents, birds, many insects, and any dead animal they can scavenge.
These reptiles are common in the exotic pet trade due to their mostly docile nature. Red tegus in captivity can be known to live up to 15-20 years. They can be trained with clickers and are known for following their owners around the house "like a dog". MacGyver the Lizard is a famous YouTube channel focused on one such red tegu.

Predominantly terrestrial, taking to the air only when panicked or in search of water, the night parrot has furtive, nocturnal habits and—even when it was abundant—was apparently a highly secretive species. Its natural habitat appears to be the spinifex grass which still dominates much of the dry, dusty Australian interior; other early reports also indicate that it never strayed far from water. It may also inhabit chenopod shrublands, eucalyptus woodlands, and mallee shrublands. The population size of this species is not known, but assumed to be continuing to decline. As of July 2022, it is listed on the IUCN Red List as Critically endangered. According to the IUCN Red List the night parrot has a population of 40–500, or possibly larger.[1] It is listed as Endangered under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 by the Australian government.
Sites identified by BirdLife International as being important for night parrot conservation are the Diamantina and Astrebla Grasslands of western Queensland, and the Fortescue Marshes of the Pilbara

The anatomy of the kākāpō typifies the tendency of bird-evolution on oceanic islands. The kākāpō is a large, rotund parrot. Adults can measure from 58 to 64 cm (23 to 25 in) in length with a wingspan of 82 cm (32 in). Males are significantly heavier than females with an average weight of 2 kg (4.4 lb) compared with just 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) for females.[27] Kākāpō are the heaviest living species of parrot and on average weigh about 400 g (14 oz) more than the largest flying parrot, the hyacinth macaw.

Before the arrival of humans, the kākāpō was distributed throughout both main islands of New Zealand. Although it may have inhabited Stewart Island / Rakiura before human arrival, it has so far not been found in the extensive fossil collections from there.[39] Kākāpō lived in a variety of habitats, including tussocklands, scrublands and coastal areas. It also inhabited forests dominated by podocarps (rimu, mataī, kahikatea, tōtara), beeches, tawa, and rātā. The kākāpō is considered to be a "habitat generalist".[6] Though they are now confined to islands free of predation, they were once able to live in nearly any climate present on the islands of New Zealand. They survived dry, hot summers on the North Island as well as cold winter temperatures in the sub-alpine areas of Fiordland. Kākāpō seem to have preferred broadleaf or mountain beech and Hall's tōtara forest with mild winters and high rainfall, but the species was not exclusively forest-dwelling
Fossil records indicate that in pre-Polynesian times, the kākāpō was New Zealand's third most common bird[49] and it was widespread on all three main islands. However, the kākāpō population in New Zealand has declined massively since human settlement of the country, and its conservation status as ranked by the Department of Conservation continues to be "Nationally Critical".[2] Since the 1890s, conservation efforts have been made to prevent extinction. The most successful scheme has been the Kākāpō Recovery Programme; this was implemented in 1995 and continues to this day.[69] Kākāpō are absolutely protected under New Zealand's Wildlife Act 1953.[70] The species is also listed under Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) meaning international export/import (including parts and derivatives) is regulated

Any man worth his salt, though, can do everything with a flathead screwdriver, hammer, hacksaw, and tape measurer. Master those tools, then start moving to powertools. Get you a nice dremel, oscillating tool, and a power drill (not a Ryobi or Rigid). With those three things and prior knowledge it'll keep you confident for any tools after that.

And buy a shopvac before you need one. They can siphon water, clean just about anything a vac needs to, and the filters are cheaper than dirt. Just take the filter out or use a wet filter, they come two in a pack, when you do water.

Frames are pine, exterior walls a cement board, interior drywall.
We don't need brick and stone houses like Europe has because, well, we have cheaper and faster building supplies - also better HVAC.

Yeah… quite interesting though we don’t have such weather conditions but still build quite sturdy even though it’s not really that much needed. The biggest problem most of us Europeans face is the earth since we build so heavy the ground sinks in and we need tons of sand and other materials that are quite expensive

Range
The Moorish idol's body is highly compressed and disc-like in shape with a tube-like snout and small bony protruberances above the eyes in adults. Moorish idols feed on sponges, coral polyps, tunicates and other benthic invertebrates.[12] They are normally found in small groups of 2 or 3 individuals but they can also be solitary or gather in large schools. They have a long pelagic larval stage and this is why they are so widespread and geographically uniform.[2] These fishes are pelagic spawners the males and females release sperm and eggs into the water and the eggs drift away on the current following fertilisation
