You want to work out yes but not for hours, you're not working out to lose weight you're working out for muscle definition and weight gain, so work out hard and fast. 30 minutes a day 4 times a week.

This isn't something off the internet, just what I did for like 8 months and saw some awesome results

Yeah I used to suck at cardio when I was younger and overweight, it helps with your lungs and strengthens your heart muscles though, I was always avoiding it because it hurt my chest and all but I learned to push through it and break limits, I hit points where it hurt so bad I kept pushing and then it felt like I could run for hours...for like 30 more minutes then my legs ached and gave out
