I don't know to be honest, ideally I'd like to work on games like The Isle n stuff, I mainly wanna do sound design(which I'd probably major in if I had a uni close that offered it). It's a bit of a weird area for me though cause I didn't get much schooling or anything and got an offer from this uni based entirely on my portfolio, so you take what you can get lol.
I'd say survival/exploration games though, they're always fun to play.

late reply, but BoB is the only one that's been able to successfully pull it off, and it does it exceptionally well through its weather events, extinction floods, map location placements and tide system.
And while the new Gondwa map is great from a biome and aesthetic standpoint - probably the best we've ever gotten in these types of dino games - but after playing it on and off through the public test branch, I can already tell the map's going to come with some serious issues.
namely lack of water sources and the fact that the map isn't designed with land/air - to - sea interactions in mind. As you've already mentioned, marines are going to be isolated on this map. And lack of water sources means camping grounds for toxic mix-packers and megapacks. So the map is destined to fail until any of these issues are addressed.
