any computer tech person here can help me understand, when running isle on most effects off but main settings on high , game looks nice, getting between 60-120 fps depending on area, but when setting everything to cinematic and enabling all the little effects graphics get very grainy and blurry and ugly, essentially it looks better with medium to high, rather than max, why? (edit: render scale is 100%)

Well currently my internet has been having interruptions since I got it a few weeks ago. But the game is literally so fun that I have sat here and logged back in over and over after 2-3 minute crashes just to play. So if that doesn't tell you anything idk what will haha.

However yes its a very fun game, keep in mind Scum is way earlier in development then Tarkov is and already has kinda better gun play. However if you liked DayZ (its 1000x better than DayZ already in the state its in) where you got a huge map to play on and lots of POIs then this is the game for you. Has ultra realistic metabolism system and medical is pretty cool as well since you can develop all sorts of stuff if you don't do the right things or say you get injured and get infected it can become worse and worse over time.

However its not like super had to avoid those things, you just keep your clothes dry with a fire and don't get hit and you normally never get any issues.

So yes I would totally recommend scum since I think its the best survival game out there

They're also adding modular base building soon and in depth farming

I haven't had many interactions in game with people, but its very much more Frankie on PC in 1080P old DayZ videos vibe vs Rust. Just because of the difficulty of the game doesn't really lend for loads of people being dicks.

You should check out RayKit on youtube, really chill guy and the first person I watched a long time ago about the game its how I found out about it. He plays and streams all the time and has his own server and community that is very nice and non toxic.

As for clans I haven't experienced much of that but I'm sure some people got some discords with people and they fight together and such. But the thing is none of that matters that much because the time to kill is very low in scum even lower then tarkov.

So 1 person can defend their base from 5 people and its not some unbearable task to do so if you at least have some competence of the game.

Everything I’ve seen about PoT has been ass. The models look like clay, few things look like they belong together. Highlighter dino skins is weird. Their Devs seem rude, the community is hostile against everyone and itself. 3/10, wouldn’t piss on if it was on fire.

the weird thing about performance in PoT is that the FRAMES are okay, its the servers that start dying

the game will be running at a buttery 60 fps but everyone will be lagging and teleporting around
