at release it was true omni cause the diet system wasnt bad, but when they added abilities they chopped up the diet system and because of how rushed alot of cheirus was and the abilities were cheirus ended up with abunch of "generalized" abilities. like they made a list of abilities that required the least amount of assets and gave them to the dinosaurs

I would like for more diversity in dino games

like, theres three main types, and every dino game seems to fall into them

• dino walking sim, sometimes with bells and/or whistles
• park builder
• rust but dinosaurs

i wager the park builder genera has the most actual diversity in it, despite being like, two games rn, excluding old ones like jpog. jwe1-2 and prehistoric kingdom have VERY different atmospheres, goals, and experiences, while being under the same umbrella

meanwhile you have "The Isle-like" which is the five walking sims with a slightly different artstyle, upon which I'd wager saurian is the most unique just because it has a strong endgoal and different atmosphere focusing on naturalism versus gameplay (which isnt necessarily a good thing either)

I will happily play with mates for hours on The Isle

But I'm actually properly engaged without ever needing to hop on RDO to get the same enjoyment from playing with mates
