So I saw that Astro is on hordetest, I’m at work so I can’t play it yet but from what I saw in the gameplay video Austro only seems able to spear fish or dive and and bite big fish, so I gotta ask is he ever gonna get something like the concept art? I for sure thought he was gonna have a pounce similar to herra where you have the little aim thing and you aim at the fish you can see and jump and strike it, I also thought Austro’s brows would be like a thing you could activate to see through the surface of the water, once again a thing these teased in concept art, this ability would also help with the pouncing and catching fish

Less concerned with more vibrant colors and more concerned with how the system works, and the types of skins it creates... vibrant colors are fine if the skin is designed around them, but none of the skins feel designed with anything in mind. Palettes will help with limiting the range but it won't do anything to change how unnatural the skins will inevitably be.

When you are that small you have to be vigilant and sneaky to survive. Just a reminder, beipi and hypsi die if any carnivore larger than a troodon (for beipi) ambushes them in that way. That is not problem, it is the reality of playing a tiny creature

Dryo is a good example of pin having okay cases. Something like a raptor pinning a Dryo and making it helpless...I mean yeah, it's Dryo 😛 Not arguing against a potential wiggle free mechanic or something, but Dryo is rather small and definitely more flighty than fighty. If it gets caught, that's on it.

Im not saying to cross the entire map everytime you hear a chittering in the distance, though it is certainly possible as something like stego. I mean pay attention to the noises in the area that you're in, stick to more forested areas where possible, don't rest in more open areas, an be prepared to leave if the area gets too dangerous. I have only been pinned a couple of times, most of those being at very popular sanctuaries frequented by adult predators

Mhm. Dryo's gotta hip hop away from beasties like raptors. Again though, I wouldn't mind some form of wiggle free mechanic, so long as it varies and is affected by your animal's wellbeing. Even then though, something like a Dryo should, in most cases, be dead should an adult raptor pin it down.
