It is way better, and more intuitive. The only thing Spiro flying had was speed and better stam, but that was admittedly unnatural in regards to realism so I’m glad it’s changed for the most part. The biggest demerit to the current flying is having to ascend uphill

• trike/dibble's unique for its defense and skill ceiling, tons of attacks being able to drift and move the way it does, and spar too

• something like hypsi at least got climbing for a unique kit, and in the future whole tree buildings

• galli, ill count galli. galli's unique for being THE speedy dino, and also honk honk, also cool mechanic where diet = speed

• beipi, ill count beipi too. its unique for being the little dolphin water dino and having its own cool foraging mechanics and underwater calls

• pachy has fractures and crazy good knockback, its just so fun because of the bonk, thats really unique already

• teno has the uhh.. teno.. uhh.. teno..... it.. it... it has.. it.. um... umm...

I disagree. I can tell you with full certainty most people don’t rely on vouchers. 9 times out of 10 if you come across somebody, they’ll tell you they grew it themselves. The reason Petits feels different and therefore “inaccurate” is because it enhances the game so much so that it’s entirely unique: they encourage nesting, so more people nest. They encourage playing “endangered” species, so you see them more. They have a population regulator so there’s more diversity.
