Comming from 2k hours legacy, even if i only had 60% stam: as the fastest carni in the game i was certain i could just empty all of my stam and lose him. Combat physics

Think of it this way herbivores for the most part are all roughly the same bleed or damage and well then there is pachy.

But carnivores?

Vastly different story majority of carnivores play completely different and each ability if combined with another is devastating bile+troodn? Carno knockdown+omni pounce? The effects of fighting multiple types is horrific

When people fight they expect 1 thing “oh it’s a cera ok chargebite and bile” “oh it’s a dilo? Venom” but you start mixing and matching it just makes it over all unenjoyable

thats because troodon relies on a pack, so solo ones shouldnt be completely doomed and sentenced to uselessness just because it doesnt have someone to rely on yet

like you said its balanced to survive, just because it can kill big stuff in a pack doesnt mean it shouldnt be able to do anything at all solo, and it survives alone by being able to enter sancs no?

Server performance was buttery smooth even at 80 players, once it got near 100 my camera decided to tp to the "none" box whenever I pounced something

you also need to consider what happens to troodon when you increase a single troos dmg by 50%

instead of 100 twice, its now 150 twice. instead of 200, its 300.

instead of 100 thrice, its now 150 thrice, instead of 300, its 450

godforbid, you have troos group limit of, what, 10, 12? instead of 1000, its 1500. you just killed a damn teno

i tried both carni and herbs and honestly carni is so much easier and more fun to play. herbs gameplay is terrible

ye, not really a mystery why its around a 9:1 ratio of carni to herbs

carnivores are just glorified herbivores atm that are faster, stronger, better at hiding, and better at surviving

That particular balance paradigm is also around way longer than 2022.
I would prefer if everything actually had a somewhat impactful role, but that was never really the plan.
Some playables are just "useless bystanders".

That’s only like one less pounce for every 3 troodons

Instead of needing like what 16? To kill a teno, you only need 13 or 14

And you need to put in account stuff like the venom resetting, or prey camping

The faster the pack can secure the kill the better, because there are so many things out of their control that just 30 more seconds in the fight and suddenly the hunt is completely gone
