deino v deino fights when theyre the same size as you (i.e frail vs frail, PE vs PE)

it just turns into a bite fest underwater and whoever gets the first bite wins (when both are at 100%). if youre below 100% when the fight starts, youre at an inherent disadvantage

plus, since deino is so large, you can eat organs (which give like what, 2% food most of the time?) to get that heal %. thats why gastro is so busted on herbivores, because each fruit gives you the same healing as a normal bite from a bush

Bipedal stance is better for fast locomotion and let's you freight things that dont respect your weight advantage. You have poor agility and long sprint acceleration so be mindful of that.

Quad stance has much slower sprint speeds but allows you to be more nimble and attack all around you generally. You also have a much shorter sprint acceleration time so lot of people trot in Quad and then start sprinting in quad and transition to Biped stance mid transition.

Youre very vulnerable in your Juvi phase but luckily Maia grows through that very quickly. Biggest piece of advice I can give is that a lot of people play Maia like big Teno where they over value the kick attacks. The kicks are good, but you want to be using running at your opponent and stamping them. Ive found much more success doing that then trying to kick box things.

prime requirements are the same across the board, easiest ones are going to a sanctuary as a juvi, perfect diet and 2 migration zones (I think deino starts with an extra "prime point" (3/5 instead of 2/5 at spawn) similair to hypsi iirc)

It does require a mutation slot, and becomes available as an option. It doesn't auto insert. Mutation slots 2 and 4 are special slots that some unlockable mutations can be chosen in, unless a recent patch changed it so every slot can be used on those special mutations

Eating more doesn't make it faster, or reset the cool down. When it disappears, nom some more rocks. Very useful for packing your stomach full of diet to increase growth speed
