Hypothetically, as a nested in deino, you will have 4/5 tasks already completed. So you would just have to get perfect diet once, and never get zero diet and you would get prime

Migration zone and pz tasks can be finicky, so it makes sense you didn't get those, regardless of how far you travelled

So either you never got perfect diet, or you somehow got infertile with zero diet for even a second

Next time, if you want to be more sure to get prime with deino, you can visit a sanctuary. I know it is risky since you were a 2nd Gen, but prime system is buggy. There are also specific spots on the map that can make you get your 2 mz tasks and 2 of them should be fairly accessible to deino if you got saltwater mutation

Which trees? Like a coconut tree? Those usually only have coconuts once and then don't regrow them or just spawn with no coconuts. If you can only smell one symbol near the tree, then the tree has no fruit

I haven't experienced it myself, but at prime stego is very dangerous for Rex's that know how much Rex's bleed. Maybe a dumb rex can recklessly attack you, kill you, then die to bleed a minute later. But you should have a fighting chance. Just don't get caught out of position. Find a nice defensible position, etc. Running into two rexes would be tough for a stego

yea, that makes sense. Ive found that rex is so incredibly agile that they can either bait you out of your swings, or if you dont take the bait, they just immediately charge you and crush you, and then sinse and repeat

I think one allo can pin below 50% its weight, but two allos can pin their entire combined weight. And then if the dinosaur has like 1/5 health or stamina, then you can pin much heavier dinos

Yea, just have to do your best to swing at the Rex's head when it gets too close. A few good swings to a rex should be enough to make the rex leave or risk bleeding out. Then you can chase after the rex to make sure they run and bleed faster

Rex has very low bleed resistance

Also, protect your head at all costs, stego takes like 2x damage to the head or something like that

Triple tap E to rip a body part. Once you can smell multiple diets in the body, you can pull organs out. If you are big enough to carry (not drag) the body, you can hold lmb and shake back and forth slowly to shake the organs out to the floor

Deer stomp animation is a good time to bite it from behind. Sometimes the hitbox will be wacky and it will somehow still hit you from behind. But eventually you should be able to bite the deer to death from behind if you are careful. Boar gets into a phase where it runs away from you and thrashes around if you bite it enough. Once in that phase, chase it and tail bite it as 180° behind it as possible. It still might hit you, but I've successfully killed boars as Juvi carnis like this most of the time

I feel like beipi elder should be like 250 kgs. But sameish damage and speed. So it can tank some hits when fighting and then run away. Right now, you can only fight like Herrera or smaller. Even small Ceras mess you up as beipi in like 2 to 3 bites, which is fine, but I want elder beipi to be a slow on land menace to anything juvi or small species

90 kg beipi elder is just not it. Sometimes I want to mess with anything near my pond. Like Shrek saying "get out of my swamp". But I'm one shot to the things I want to kick out of my swamp, like Ceras, carnos, and allos. At least make me 2 to 3 shot for them please. 250 kg beipi is needed. Just buff the elder weight but keep damage similar as is now

Right now beipi 3 call is amazing, but isn't backed up with it just getting one shot by most of the roster

I want to swipe once or twice at a Cera and then run back into the water with half my health gone from a bite. But right now, I would just die in one bite and can't be an aggressive beipi protecting its shore

That is exactly my point. All bark and no bite, and if it bites, it is dead. Sure you can bleed something pretty good, but no point if you die in the process. So I suggest keeping beipi damage, speed, and bleed the same. And just buffing the weight to like 250 kgs ish. Enough to be an annoyance to stuff like Ceras. But not enough to actually threaten them. Unless they continue to stay near your pond, then you can regen health and come back and keep giving it 1 to 2 swipes.

This is exactly what I think beipi should be, but without the dying in one bite part. Beipi should be an aggressive coast protector. Anything threatening that wants to drink near its water should face the claw. And beipi should be able to tank one bite from cera/carno/allo or below. Otherwise, it is just role-playing as a feisty clawed duck, but just ends up embarrassing itself when it goes to drive predators away from its water

Beipi needs to fear carno in land, so carno should fear beipi swipes near the coast. Not enough to kill, but enough to be a nuisance of bleed and then retreating to heal half its hp taken from one carno bite

It just comes down to what are feasible beipi interactions with other dinosaur adults? Right now, not much. Only with herrera, troodon, dryo, hypsi, and ptera. Everything else just one shots it

Or maybe don't increase the weight to 250ish kg, but give it some type of shore buff, like cera body buff

With a nose like that it made sense that it’d be a master of it’s sense of smell, but how to best use that as a mechanic? Being able to zero in on targets more easily or being able to catch scent of something from further away were starting ideas, but then another experimental idea was pitched that I quite liked. Why not a projectile of sorts, or rather a scent trap.

This substance is something that Mono could use to either mark a target to keep track of it during a hunt or lay a trap for careless creatures that step through this substance and make themselves easy-to-chase prey for Monolophosaurus.

Water and mud would be your best friend to wash off the stench with this guy running around.

I think they would have you plug in a scent machine to your computer. Whenever your mono is close to the sneezed prey, the scent machine pumps out foul smelling odors to let you know you are close

The main things I want to avoid are things like “it’s Kentro so it can’t be pinned” since imo a Rex NOT pinning it or an Allo who weared it down being unable to do so would be silly, or just making it outright unhuntable to anything that isn’t an apex. Theres a few general things I’d like to see

1: since kentro will be upsized it’ll have more area for things. Troodon, Omni & smaller allos should be able to latch to the back sides of kentros sides. But attempting to latch the front sides or back would result in doing a manual attack + impact damage. Rather than just outright killing them

2: Since Kentro will be upsized, let’s say 2T as an example. Anything 50% of a Kentros weight (1T & below) should not take any reflective damage on spikes from any damage they deal since they can’t do enough force to hurt themselves from attacking spikes. This gives Kentro something unique where its spikes are good to warding larger animals off but still gives some room to smaller animals to take opportunity’s to hunt them (though a Kentro is still a Kentro so a side check is gonna hurt)

3: for larger animals (anything above 50% of its weight you’d take reflective damage relative to about 25% of the damage you deal. (Example, an Allo does a bite of 175 damage, it now takes 43 damage). This is because they are larger animals applying more force

4: Another rule to Kentro is that any source of damage that exceeds a certain damage threshold (let’s say 300) will apply a new effect where that body part becomes covered in spikes & a new debuff that reduces the output of any attack related to that portion of the body (carnivore mouths, quadrupedal stomps etc). The only way to remove the spikes is to continuously use those attacks until the spikes wear out. However every time you attack while the debuff is applied, you would take minor damage. So it provides a bit of an aftereffect to hunting a Kentro preventing you from hunting more or defending a corpse being less reliable now.

My issue with that idea is that with how oxygen works in the game, there’s very little inbetween. You either kill something through asphyxiation, or you don’t and it recovers fully in a few seconds

I was playing POT earlier today and I was unfocused as I was running around when one of those udanoceratops AI came running at me through the bush

I saw the eyes on the crest in my unfocused vision and I nearly jumped before realising it was just the AI dude
