They both do the same thing, I am well aware Vanguard runs persistently, but it's not doing anything malicious, because it, again, doesn't store data.

The only thing it does is check for patterns. That's it. If it was actually scrubbing through, collecting, compiling, and uploading that information, then they would be legally obligated to mention it, not to even start on how easy it would be to catch that. You can track everything being uploaded from your device, that's fairly easy to do. If Vanguard was collecting personal information, it would be called out instantly.

I understand wanting to be paranoid about programs, hell, I'm the type of person to read the full ToS before doing anything, but please look past the fear mongering and try and actually think about what the program does.

It scans for malicious software, specifically, the program on your computer downloads patterns from Vanguard servers, and then runs locally on the machine to check for those patterns. It checks, re checks, endlessly. It checks at startup because otherwise it would be fairly easy to avoid. It does not collect, it does not store, it only searches.

If it finds something it doesnt like, it doesnt allow access to the Vanguard protected servers. That's it.

It couldn't collect information even if it wanted to.

Car's really aren't a very good comparision, they have zero internal pressure keeping their shape plus other than the very sturdy base chasis literally every component is designed to crumple under force to mitigate crashes. A lot of modern animals can obliterate cars without much issue

Have Anky have average cc resist and average armor but be able to crouch to enter a defense mode where it can turn in place and have omnidirectional movement with a LOT more damage and a LOT LOT more cc resistance and a parry ability to completely ignore incoming damage and reflect some of it to your attackers

Pretty much all other scenarios is asking for a broken leg, which would've been a death sentence regardless.
