It's been around for almost a year now, and they dominate almost every fight unless it's against a larger / prime rex or outnumbered by stegos / rexes.

Tbf Trike and dibble both suffer from grapple specifically since they are intended to sit there and face whatever wants to fight them, and because they are both not very agile, often get outmaneuvered and get pinned quickly. Dibble doesn’t have the damage output to swiftly ward off allos or smaller Rex’s. Trike also suffers from turning like a cruise ship, which makes dealing with packs rather difficult, which doesn’t help that Rex can literally run circles around a trike

Granted a pack of allos or a Rex should still be a threat to a trike, but it is a bit comical atm

Like I saw one video where a dude was playing like a bloodthirsty Maia and fighting everything in sight, then saw a pack of three Allos when he was a lone Maia, headlonged into the pack, got pinned and complained about pinslop.

I dont disagree that pounce/pin/grapple desperately needs some TLC and tuning, but when people see obviously losing fights and still take them, I dont know why they complain

I think it works better if they stay non-standardized because different Dinos have different playstyles and matchups. Like Troodons pinning their own weight is fine because there’s practically nothing their size that doesn’t just die in 1-2 hits anyway. But make Rex pin its own size and suddenly it’s not very fun.

Though I do think the grapple mechanic should also differ based on species too

I will give my opinion about allo I got him today as prime for the first time and on the petit pieds server and I must say it is very boring pin=dead 3x allo vs maia prime and medium we killed them so easily two got prime maia and the third got second maia it was too easy

spearfishing is during the day, press RMB while standing right at the edge of water (doesnt matter if its saltwater or fresh)

skim fishing is when you fly right over the water and hold RMB when you see fish jumping out of the water, at which point you let RMB go and will catch a fish in your beak

Honestly if you have even just a small amount of distance in front of Allo you can still kinda dodge it, it's not like super huge for the most part but I've noticed latency and tail hitboxes play a pretty big role in what actually gets hit
