It was the best way I could think of describing it with how things seem to play out where I basically never saw fighting and everyone seemed peaceful and unconcerned about one another for the most part. I think it just speaks to what people generally are like and the fact the game lacks much else, something I can at least admit Path of Titans has between quests/AI even if they are a bit basic and some lack realism/logic. I think players being aggressive is both a blessing and curse to at least make up for this lack of gameplay. What was bad was the way they often would do so in situations where there was little game in it.

Just as I don't see the fun in being a big mixpack killing everything. I don't see the fun in killing a baby dino that never had a chance to escape or fight back.

Fights were something that I enjoyed when sides had player agency. It's also why I generally wasn't a aggressor.

For one I liked to chill and didn't care a whole lot for PvP, usually cases where I did fight was helping those in bad odds/situations or simply to defend myself.

Another came down to the fact it wasn't uncommon for me to mix with randoms of another species. If they started something, that was their business, not mine. I disliked ever being a aggressor in mixes, particularly if the other party weren't aware of what they were getting into.

On the isle unnofficials is what annoys me to no end. I love to chillpack, if I have a friendship going with some random goober you CANNOT expect me to just sit idle as they are mawled to death. If you see a group of players, expect to have to take on all of them.

That’s the main reason I’ve recommended they add more things to mess around with in the game, especially for herbivores. Carnivores HAVE to fight to eat, but it’d be nice if Herbivores could build more complex nests, push around objects, and generally make ramshackle structures out of stuff.

Hypsi getting big tree nests and large playables getting to knock down trees in the future would be excellent first steps that they’ve already teased somewhat. How about some jeeps to push over cliffs? Brush turkey mounds for Pachy or Dryo? Burrowing?

I'm mostly thinking of both active and passive methods for different species to intermingle

Active methods could be something like hypsi could knock fruit off trees for herbivores making the ground more fertile around the place so more plants spawn including some unique ones that give hypsi all diets.

Passive methods could be something like sauropod steps filling with a tiny bit of water when it rains so only small and tiny tiers can drink from them. The lil goobers could benefit the sauropod by taking care of their young for them, dealing with troodons and just simply providing company for the slow giant

I don't know if there is truly a way to solve this is the thing. Chillpacking seems kinda inevitable by the simple fact that outside of fighting. The game doesn't offer much but socializing.

There also can be something to be said about the way they go about food is the problem. Crocs often are so cannibalistic because of lack of food, take it away and that problem starts to fade as was something I noticably observed at North Lake before the Trike update as fish spawns were pretty good to the point it wasn't uncommon for multiple fg crocs that didn't know to interact with no violence.

This wasn't to say it never happened, just it was far more uncommon and incidents were out of desperation.

I guess my point is, lack of food leads to taking risks. Easier solutions like hunting AI can co-exist to offer an out to this being necessary. There is also just the simple idea of lightly discouraging players staying together by where food is. If carnivore and herbivore want to go different areas to keep diet up, they have a reason to disperse. It's also one of the things I think is most lacking for oversized packs. Where food in a area needs to be moved to areas around that area to encourage spreading out.

a.k.a alot of the problem of players is the lack of using the literal carrot they have to encourage the players how they want
