the issue with ptera is that it fills a niche that doesnt interact with anything. beipi would be in the same category if deino didn't exist but its even worse for ptera cause theres literally nothing for it to do.

yes but honestly the only reason beipi and deino have a truce is cause beipi is too small and agile (plus cute) for deino's to even waste stamina to kill them, just to get not even 5% of their hunger back. Austro is bigger than omni, bary would 100% try to kill it for food. maybe they'll have a truce where bary wont try to hunt austro as long as austro is far enough away from it lol

from what I saw, Austro's got some leggy kickies and pecks but beipi can claw up/down while it's diving in or out of the water at will. Austro's more swimmy, Beipi can actually leap in and out of the water vertically a bit more from what I saw

oh yeah the leaping is beipi's gimmick but when it comes to water combat austro has much more range and flexibility when it comes to fighting in the water, beipi will def be more agile when it comes to swimming due to it's ability to breach the water and dive back in but i really dont think itll be able to apply pressure to a good austro

Because unless they have high combat potential, the simpke existence of eating plants isn't enough. There is a reason we don't see many dryos running about, because it can't do anything, even if it wanted to. Herbivores would be fun if they were actively hunted, but often you need to choose to fight, and that is still far more engaging than eating plants or fishing 67.
