Well it just kind of happened, it's not like they plan it out. I'd guess that they started by eating some wild fungus that grew on plants, and then started bringing that fungus back to the nest like they would with other food.

Clueless Rexes (95% of all rex players) will die to a stego in 5 seconds. We got attacked last night, hit the guy 4 times in the head, started chasing him and he collapsed while running.

People really don't know how strong stego bleed is. Once the Rex makes a mistake (thats 3 hit), its on a timer. It either tries to finish the stego quickly or it leaves or it will 100% die.

I think North east, beyond North Lake and above the docs. I wouldn't be surprised if they expand it out slightly to the north to add a bit more land for the redwoods.
My other thought would be the NW, adding back in the area they removed, but reworked as Redwoods.

Another idea that came to me would be to make the redwoods be its own "island" in the southeast, and then add a small landbridge from SE side of swamps out to it. Kind of replace the area that was seahorse island.

For realism, I concede your point, but I always feel like The Isle is willing to stretch realism for playability. My thought is the inside of the dome is too small to hold a real redwood area worth going to by anything more than the smaller dinos. But, maybe they will expand the dome?
