The intention is likely that you are just going from your MZ to MZ or your PZ to PZ. There are bugs and this doesn't work well in practice so its besides the point. The alternative, and what everyone seems to do to get prime, is visiting each others zones to get prime. Which by learning where each one spawns gives you a good idea on getting prime

I do think MZ's, PZ's and diets in general need to go through a deep clean QOL. Which ideally would allow for herbivores to get separate requirements to Carnivores, such as just growing in your MZ's.

I didn’t know there had to be food in it to count. This might explain why I’ve been missing prime on the east side of the map despite going through the right number of zones. Not as many players over there, so the zones were probably not active. Thank you for clarifying this lol.

I’ve done a lot of testing with prime and it always comes down to movement. You gotta keep moving all the time, if you sit in a bush for even 10min it seems to fail your prime

No, you have to hit the requirements but you also can’t hit the requirements in the first 50% and then just camp for the remaining 25%. If you do that you will fail prime

I simply don’t believe you. I get prime like 90% of the time, the times I’ve failed it’s when I’ve been lazy and sat in bushes for too long, even after following my usual routes. This is my experience, I’ll stick with what I know works and what doesn’t. Movement is key imo

As an allo the reqs are easy to fulfil quickly and I always get prime chilling in the same area and my route so, games reqs definitely need improving, it's a good idea, just needs refining

Weird question. Would it be better for more AI variety that you can interact with? Like, herds of dibbles, trikes, stegos and other dinos? Not mixed, of course. Like, as a herbivore to integrate in those heards, be able to see AIs progression like if they have mutations , grouth % and their gender to nest (as a herbivore). It will also make hunting a bit more interesting for carnivores and the gameplay not so solitary for herbivore players.

The solution is simple. Make prime harder to get in order for players to not be able to get it in 10 minutes, but reduce the grouth rate so the road to prime to not fell like a race, but to be a more natural gameplay.

What’s unique about the isle is that the bigger carnivores need to hunt other players to survive, it’s supposed to be a player driven ecosystem, something that hasn’t really been accomplished before

I think current gateway functions pretty well on a pop of 175-250, but i personally like 225-325 pop servers

Their vision is very ambitious, but I'm here for it.

Servers are made for different playstyles. If you don't like a certain rule, find another server. You can't attack people's opinion on that.

Generation zero was notable for its AI. The ai can level up, and is persistent in the world so if you fight one and you both survive you can run into that same ai later with the same battle scars

The overall goal for Unofficials is to allow server owners to create a personalised experience for a specific taste/playstyle.

the trick to growing stego is to over eat on mushrooms and puke, wait for vomit sickness to go away and fill up on mushrooms, book it to the nearest patrol zone as soon as you fill up even if you're still small enough for sanc

with multiple rexes i think the strat is to power swing the rexes 2-3 times. then full on sprint. by the time you have swung them, the ambush speed will be done and you will possibly be able to escape (so long as your bones remain intact). also if they chase you, they WILL bleed out.

the trike in general can't really turn in a circle as fast as you can sprint around it.
You can ambush the Trike for the first hit.

If a non ambush fight, I would say try adn use the Space bar sprint (hold space bar while spiriting to get a limited timer speed boost) and use that extra speed to get around the Trike and start using crushes and bites.
Once the fracture is applied to the trike you pretty much have it in the bag.
just my experience though, other people will have other things that work or don't work.
I will say somthing that won't work is running into the Trikes face and getting Gored to death.
There are also tips to try and win the sparing during the fight but that is another whole can of worms

Delete the folder called TheIsle in Appdata/Local, then try setting the game to all Medium. Disable Lumen (graphics settings) and foliage physics) gameplay settings. I'd also set 3D resolution to 45-50 if you're not using DLSS

Photorealistic styles also age incredibly quickly. Look at how fast Red Dead Redemption 2 went from "the best looking game to ever exist" to what it is now. Still beautiful, but only going to look worse as graphics improve. Stylization, at least in part, is key to keep your game from looking dated.

The last I checked, there are still some bushes that pop out of render at low view distances, but the last few updates seem to be working for resolving that, as there's far fewer of those now than there used to be. Grass itself can still be an issue for the smalls though, as they're really obvious when they're not hidden by it
