I don't know if it's a bug or not, but the idea might be to have battle damage be more enigmatic, rather than "Oh, okay, that attack only took me down to yellow, I can take about two or three more of those". You have less of an idea in its current state, so people aren't as likely to act brazenly.

Nanite saves on filesize, looks good out of the box, but I honestly still think it has too many issues to treat as the one trick solution to rendering things at range.

It's a good foundation but thus far it's a very poorly optimized execution. Overdraw has been talked to death, but it's especially egregious on foliage and transparent materials. Also completely breaks micro details on a lot of models which has been a particular struggle for me.

More robust versions as used by the 50 series are actually very impressive, no cost to latency, barely any visual impact, but it comes at a high cost, and still looks god awful when you have a low base framerate. If you are playing at anything less than 50fps, even on a 50 series card, it looks really bad.

However, any version of frame gen that is older than that, is a bit of a nightmare, latency gets awful, smearing is very noticeable, ruins image clarity entirely, makes smearing on things like TSR 10x worse, and it needs 60fps to even be worth considering.

The version of frame gen is very important when discussing the merits of it as a concept.

If you have a terrible baseline framerate, using frame generation may smooth out the visuals but good lord will you feel it, and I don't just mean with latency, e33 is a particularly bad example since they are already using TSR without even considering the current frame, kinda like Jedi Survivor, so as a result it looks awful. Lumen has it's own shadows, so when I was editing the shadows I forgot to consider that. When I turn lumen off they look fine, but that breaks the reflections entirely so I don't know if it's worth.

I gotta find a way to modify lumen shadows then, I think that would also fix the shimmering on everything, but I also doubt it'll let me do that.

When you get prime yeah. Also this is just not true, it depends a lot on the species, Kouga documented it all on his vid. Some lose stats instantly, some don't. Also arguing if it's 50 or 20% is meaningless, it's still a significant amount of time where you are just arbitrarily nerfed. And it's not just for combat, being slower just makes getting anywhere take longer
