when i try to join a server sometimes it gets stuck in Loading screen and sometimes my game just closes by itself and yea sometimes i get the weird easy anti cheat message in the game

Need help or suggestions asap. I had issues with the nesting controls not working after the update, so I did what all suggestions pointed to. I deleted the isle files then reloaded and that solved that issue. The problem now is since I did that there is now an issue with my controller. Before the update the analog stick had 360 movement. Now it has 8 points of contact movement. (Up, up/right, right, right/back, back, left/back, left, left/up) this makes the control of the Dino very clunky rather than smooth like it used to be.

His skins will be deleted, I advise copying the skin code onto somewhere

Then you can just paste the skin code and save your skins again after you've deleted the config folder

I'm having random frame drops, while some people report only having them in combat which should probably be normal, but I'm having them everytime even when not doing anything, so you can guess it's really annoying and takes away from my gameplay

you need to delete your The Isles Save Folder that is called the isle

search in windows bar %localappdata%

And find your The Isle folder and delete it

that will get rid of settings and such stuff

something you can do to really boost your fps is pressing Ctrl+LShift+Esc and look for Google Chrome, then right click on it and end task (the one wich is taking the most out of your CPU, it should be yellow-ish)

Do that every time you join a game and it gives a decent fps boost

Still having this issue? I just had it happen to myself and fixed it. It appears to be a rare issue with the latest EAC right now.

I fixed it by moving my Isle installation from one drive to another, aka right click The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > Move install folder > move it to a different drive.

The server you're trying to join is most likely full. Try to join an empty one to see if you get the same error.

So does this game just no longer work with Linux and Proton? Every other Windows game that uses Easy Anti-Cheat has no problem running.

There isn't even any servers without EAC as a compromise, you can just no longer play at all on any server as of the last few updates.

You lose the skins you saved to presets, but you can go and export them to a text file or something before you go and delete the folder.

As far as the black screen/loading issues go. The only answer so far is that it might be fixable by editing your Nvidia 3D Settings control panel.
(This bug is known, please be patient as the game is worked on.) Also try fully uninstalling and reinstalling the game using the directions here in pins.

If its the pitch black shadows, I heard that can be fixed by the "delete your save file" trick, but I'm not 100% sure. If anything it wouldn't hurt (it doesn't delete your dino)
