So I don't know if I'm the only one but I had already reported this bug a few months ago. Indeed, I can't play correctly because the change of the arrow keys is completely buggy. I have already installed and uninstalled the game twice and no change. The problem is that the Q and D keys for direction duplicate or clear themselves in the settings. Which means that I can only turn either left or right.... Rather disabling.... Are there any tips or things to do to solve the problem? Because I only play with controllers but it's not better either because of course I can move but can't use all the attacks...?? Help meee please :3

I'm sure this is already a known bug, but does anyone know how to permanently fix the eating issue? I'm able to eat for like 5 minutes, then it stops working entirely or everytime i try to eat, the animation gets cut out and I don't gain any hunger points. this seems to happen the most on deino.

No real fix sadly. I personally just take eating very slow. Making sure not to spam E or G as that seems to be when I get bugged the most.

Only way to fix the bug temporarily is to safe log and load back into the game.

A bunch of Linux users have been complaining about not being able to play anymore, including me. Until the isle devs release a fix then their Linux player base can't play. If you want to play on Linux then go play legacy until they fix evrima

This type of fatal error is related to directX. Which can be affected by your GPU or windows versioning.

Since you already tried reinstalling GPU drivers. Windows updates would be the next idea.

I will crash within the first few minutes of playing or after attempting to get on one. I also see this game show up as "App Configuration Unavailable" in steam, even though i've done the fix for it twice now...

To attempt to fix this i've reinstalled the game 4 separate times with 2 of them being manual, updated all my drivers and windows to the most recent I could, verified on multiple occasions, and done steam related bug fixes. I can't determine whether or not my internet is the problem since I don't have this happen on any other games I play. I dont have any tutorials anywhere in the server or elsewhere that have worked yet and it's been nearly 2 weeks of this.

I have uninstalled the game multiple times, removed the anticheat folder, the easyanticheat file itself and re-verified to try and have steam re-install the file or the correct one and nothing continues to work. I click on it and nothing pops up. Even with only downloading evrima and not downloading legacy to see if it made a difference nothing seemed to budge. I've had steam verify the folders integrity and it all came out good until i try to launch the game itself or the file.. im at a loss as what to do next. I love the game and was excited to finally try Evrima but i cant even open it without saying easyanticheat isn't installed and then being unable to install it

Sadly not sure what else would be viable. Do you know what version of windows you're on? I saw some others facing this issue on other games and updating to Windows 10 20H2 or around there seemed to fix it. Outside of fully reinstalling windows

Try deleting the easyanticheat folders from these locations.

`AppData\Roaming\EasyAntiCheat

C:\Program Files (x86)`

Then run the easyanticheat setup in the game folder as an admin

Have you checked to make sure your anti-virus isn't blocking it? I've heard a lot that anticheat has issues with antivirus softwares.

It's hard to say specifically how without knowing what anti virus you use. If it's windows or otherwise you can likely google some ways on how to allow certain programs through your firewall. I'd start there.

I know why I think. The setup is EOS which usually shouldn't give you an installer.

You can try going to your apex files and copying the exe from that folder and place it in the isle eac folder.

I believe EOS is installed automatically but ofc if it breaks during your game install you're screwed.

Just for reference in the same folder you deleted.

You can set the input file to read-only. Which hopefully will prevent it from erasing again

So once you have found your perfect settings. Changing that file to read-only will prevent the game from altering it ever again. So just for the future sake of logging in one day and find them all bonked.

Well, the technique I talked about walking a few minutes before rebugging and what you talked about doesn't work either... I don't understand at all where the problem comes from but it's just unplayable.
Now the keys don't duplicate/disappear but they just don't work. Direction keys work but can't feed me now. The E key does not work. And changing it doesn't help... 😢

I have the impression that the problem comes from the fact that I change the keys. But I have to because being on an AZERTY keyboard, the WSDA directional keys are unplayable.

Hello guys, I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct channel for it, however if it is not, please send me in the right direction.

Anyway, I have bought the game at request of my friend and she's told me to install evrima instead of the basic game. I followed through and now that I got into the game, I tried getting as much performance as possible by turning down the graphics settings to the lowest possible degree (including render distance).

However, the game still tries suck my GPU dry, which is no wonder since it uses Ue5. Uses about 98% of gpu performance and runs up to 80° C, which I'm not sure is healthy for the card.

Now I have to be honest with insufficient rig, I'm using radeon R7 360 which is in terms of minimal required benchmark for the game at half the score.

However, getting into the game itself I've noticed the graphics settings have been overwritten by the server to Epic level.

My question after this exhaustive description of my situation is:
What can I do to improve performance so I can play the game with her and have at least 30 fps?

The game is not amazingly optimized but hopefully this can help a bit.

Press the windows key and type this (first screenshot)

Then head to this path TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

You will find a file called GameUserSettings

Open that file and change all the settings to 0 as show in the second screenshot (apart from ResolutionQuality, you can set that at 80-100)

To prevent your settings from being changed by the game. You can set it to read-only.

I have tried everything and can't fix this issue im having.
Its an issue where I have access to some buttons such as walk/character panel/4 call but nothing else at all.

I have tried to verify files
I have tried to do a full restart/uninstall of game and verifying integrity
I have tried to go to %appdata% and delete theisle file and relaunch game
I have checked pc for all system updates

The only thing that I did was select on 'reset' when hitting the option for keybinds on the in game menu so I could go to default ones and it nuked most of them ((Like theyre gone from list ill get photo in a second))

It should just be a folder called TheIsle. Even if you install it on a different hard drive. The files will be in the same place as your operating system.

Is your CPU sitting at 100% when playing? Audio is a CPU thing so if your CPU is having a heart attack it may lag higher quality audio

Windows 10 20H2 or somewhere around that version usually fixes this issue for other games. You would want to just check windows update and install everything it shows.

Indeed I sweetched between the versions. First I played Evrima because I didn't know the other one and it was the one that was installed as standard, then I discovered how to play The Isle ^^
And it is true that since the beginning that i play at The Isles I have these problems of keys. On the other hand Evrima I never had any problems .... even by sweetch again to check.

Besides, the keys in Evrima are perfect for my AZERTY keyboard, and I didn't even need to change them, if i remember correctly.

You could try disabling the overlay to see if that has any effect. Not sure what else you could try without admin powers but it does seem like something is hijacking your game window. So any overlays you have, you can try disable like Steam, Xbox game bar and nvidia etc.

I've searched "connection to host lost" in the discord for everyone that has had this problem and pinned messages/documents "no one" has had a solution provided

Then follow this path
TheIsle\Saved\Logs

Delete all the logs you have in there. Try join a server, when it fails. Close the game and head back to your log folder.

You should then have a text file named TheIsle. If you could send that in the chat I could look through it and see if there is anything obvious on why its losing connection.

It could very well be your firewall as it was for me, i had incorrectly allowed the app through the firewall of my antivirus software when trying to fix it, thinking i had done it properly when not!

So reading them it does relate to the steam network driver. Which explains why a different internet source did nothing for you.

Unfortunately I’m not super knowledgeable about the fixes for it but some fixes you can try.

1. Closing steam and then running it again with admin.

2. I know you mentioned trying cmd dnsflush but I recommend doing it again but with steam closed and in this order
   `
   Make sure your CMD is running as admin

3. ipconfig /release

4. ipconfig /all

5. ipconfig /flushdns

6. ipconfig /renew

7. netsh int ip set dns

8. netsh winsock reset

9. Restart PC`

10. Make sure steam is fully allowed in the firewall.

11. Use the “Network reset” option in windows

12. Check if you’re running any network programs and close them. (You can look up MSI lan manager as an example)

13. Reinstalling steam itself

If all these sadly don’t help. A more drastic approach is using the windows reset functionality and or making sure you have latest windows updates.

i need help, i cant seem to run The Isle anymore.

when i try to play it usually goes like this.
#1. I log in successfully and choose a server.
#2. Pick my dino and area, then spawn in.
#3. the game either runs fine or textures fail to render.
#4. about 30 sec pass and the game always freezes, i cant interact with The Isle any longer, task

#5. I kill the process and retry and it then throws 1 of 3 errors. I can usually no longer log in

that is the same issue I'm having. If you go in to the game at the main menu, set your graphics settings then join a server, they stay the same, but as soon as you leave the server, you need to reconfigure all of the graphics as they have been set back to default.

Does anyone know a solution to this? This patchy black grid flickers and changes pattern horrendously every time the picture is changed. Eg, will only stay the same if the entire picture is stationary - which in a game is a pretty rare thing. It is so bad that I don't think i could continue playing if there is no solution. A shame that each time i try evrima, i still find lagacy more playable, even with it's issues.

It’s happened a bit to me sometimes usually when I log out and log back in with my view maxed out(idk how to word it lol) but it should go back to normal in a a couple of minutes or so

Did you go to sleep and wait the timer out? You must’ve not fully safelogged or you got the bug again. grabbing food (plant or meat) can cause this bug
