Hi, I am not completely sure if this is a bug but yesterday i uninstalled the game, (I got mad) today i decided i was bored. after the install it said "app configuration unavailable" but i started up the game anyway since i couldnt fix it. I tried verifying my files. Currently there's a bug with the Key G, anyone who abuse the key gets the eating bug and they are forced to safelog in order to fix it. The best thing you could do is to wait the fish to float and eat it with E key.

As for now, find a safe spot and quit the game, wait 5 minutes and rejoin.

Hello! So I"m not sure if this problem was solved already but I am having a hard time with the fatal error messsage. So I am going to explain what exactly happens. I download evrima, press play, it opens the starter menu, everthing good, i can go in settings and everthing. I would go to servers then and sellect one of the original servers. After i log into a server, before it shows me the dinos to chose from it crashes and gives me this fatal error message (I am going to post a screenshot of it as soon as i have one i can't take one right now.) After that I land in the main menu again. I tried to choose different servers and put the settings down ztoo, I verified my datas, I reinstalled the game (evrima and legacy) and nothing worked. Legacy is working perfectly well tho. Can someone help me out with this? Because I really want to be able to play evrima TwT" Sorry to bother you and thank you if I'll get an answer!

usually, having both games leads to a crash. But you can also try changing Fullscreen to Bordless window mode.

Although the map does take a minute to load, taking that long sounds like your computer may not be powerful enough to handle evrima in its current state. I recommend these specs as the minimum to run the current version of evrima.
If you want to compare your PC vs these specs you can type dxdiag into the search on your taskbar and it will bring up a window showing your specs.

New video on how to open EVRIMA on GeForce Now just dropped. It can be summarized in the following steps.

1. Open Steam and enter Family Mode
2. Open GeForce Now and select The Isle
3. A message will appear saying that GeForce Now will not launch The Isle because the game isn’t available in Family Mode. Then click “OK”.
4. Open Full Picture Mode. Disable Family Mode.
5. Start downloading EVRIMA by going to Properties > Betas > EVRIMA public branch
   • A message may appear saying you don’t own the game. Ignore the message, and do not close it yet. Wait until the game is opened and then you can close that pop up message.

I might have the same issue as XxShaolinMonkeyxX, EAC whines about it's installation on my system. Is Evrima using the newer version of EAC that actually supports Proton? Haven't found much general info on the matter saying anything other than just verify your files which I've done about a dozen times already and reinstalled Evrima twice, Manually running the EAC setup executable under the game's Steam wine prefix with different Proton versions doesn't work either. My only guess is that Evrima isn't using the newer EAC version that has Linux/Proton compatibility. I should mention I also have that other dinosaur game on steam with the tiny neon apatosaurus and stuff. That game also uses EAC and it works fine on my system albeit with that games plethora of performance problems which I hope Evrima won't suffer from on my system. Thanks in advance for any info.

Oh and does anyone else have to pass PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 to Steam's launch options for the game? I get what looks like a null pointer dereference if I increase the hard file descriptor limit and it also has no audio when I do that. It would be nice if the game would give a more descriptive error message than just fatal error in this context.

Okay after looking more through the server it seems like the issue is just that the devs aren't using the Epic online services version of Easy anticheat. I guess us Linux and by extension steam deck users are just out of luck until it gets updated. I don't know if it'd be possible to drop in the EOS version instead of the regular one, let alone without getting vac-banned or some other way of it backfiring. Shame. I was really hoping to be able to try out Evrima.

It is a known bug, uncommon but known. If you lose your dino and it spawns you as a different one upon logging in, you can safelog to try to get it back. If not, I’m afraid your dino is lost 😔

The recommended minimum is probably a gtx 970 or 1060 with 8gb ram, but I've managed to play the game on intel hd graphics with the lowest settings and 540p. That's legacy though. Evrima has stutters all the time, even on a 3070, and it's even worse with other players nearby. It probably crashes on low end hardware

0 of those solutions have worked for this most recent "fatal error" bug that alot of people are complaining about. i just reinstalled for the 3rd time just today and its still "fatal error" within a minute of starting evrima

the really fast times it fatal errors before it even loads the game. the slow times lets me see my stego in game before it fatal errors

but regardless, it ALWAYS fatal errors within 1-2 minutes tops

i spent a good 8 hours on evrima afew days ago without any issues except the normal, lag/desync/ etc that are pretty much sadly normal for this game. now today the game cant be played at all. i havent switched between evrima and legacy for about 8 months. so its not that, but i tried the solution for that bug anyway.

Is anyone able to tell me whats going on with these weird textures? I have tried fiddling with the settings and even reinstalling the game. I have been experiencing crashes, fatal errors and blue screen for like a week now, without any known reasons.
I've lost many dinos because of this. It happens randomly, without warning or any particular action in game.
Changing the graphics doesn't help either, and I have a good pc, that's not a question of performance.
I have try to delete TheIsle manually, it didn't change anything.
Any ideas how i could change that ?

When I was crashing and getting fatal errors each 2 minutes, I changed my Fullscreen to windowless, it helped a lot to prevent these crashes

Also, close any other thing that's running on the background and prevent from using Alt Tab too much
