If you're encountering a "Launch Error - Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" simply verify your game files.

You can do so by right clicking The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache.

If the issue persists, adding a firewall exclusion for your entire Isle game folder and then following the steps above should do it.

I verified my files, but every time I launch it I get a steam msg saying (app running). There is nothing in Task Manager that says anything The Isle related is opened.

I've reinstalled the game and still this happens. The only thing I can think left to try is delete the file manually to make sure there is no residual files left when uninstalling.

Howdy.
This just started today and I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
I try and log into a server with availability and its usually a little slow to get in but its more slow this time.
My character never even appears and once frozen for a few moments it kicks me back to the greetings screen with a connection error message.
Its possible this might be a connection error on my internet's part, however all other signs indicate that its not.

Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

What does one do about possible hackers in the Evrima Official servers? I came across earlier a baby stego by the river at center and rammed it full speed with my adult carno. It flung into the river, (survived somehow), then proceeded to swim away faster than a small deino could swim. Then later I saw in the official server evrima-na chat, that someone came across a utah with super speed. How should we handle it? Especially since we are on an official server and cannot receive a free grow due to something like this?

The game is the problem. Not my hardware. This game apparently does not work well with Nvidia GPU's and drivers which is insane because Nvidia is top dog in the PC gaming market

Hi guys, it's been 6 months since I've uninstalled EVRIMA and I've just tried to download and launch it, but it says that Easy Anti-Cheat isn't installed while it is because I play with numerous of its' colaborators. Can someone have an idea what's going on ?

Anyone else's internet completely cut out when you open Evrima?
This just started the other day and this has happened once before about a year or so ago before they patched it.
Legacy works fine, other games work fine, internet connection is fine but for whatever reason with evrima the internet will cut out on my computer (No connection with the globe icon) and servers wont pop up, dino character menu wont load and I get kicked back to the greetings page.
Am I alone in this or have other people been experiencing this too?
I'll feel a lot better if theres others who have this problem, haha.

I can't join any EVRIMA servers. Each time I click "connect" the words "data acquisition" appear with a loading icon for a split second and then disappear. After that nothing happens. I'm having an odd issue and I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I heard they added music to the game already. I first thought it was just a teaser for an upcoming update, but it seems like it should already be in the game (according to other players). The issue is, music doesn't play at all for me. The only people still having this issue are people who use GeForce now to play. We can’t access the local files to delete them or verify them since it’s a cloud gaming setup. Still waiting for a solution….

That's not entirely true. I see people getting black screen or non launching errors all the time that need to manually uninstall reinstall. As far as GeForce now goes, there's kinda an internal issue with Geforce and steam Betas like Evrima that have confliction issues. Where as with Legacy you'd never see this problem because Legacy is the main branch. The solution lies with two things.

The bugs are fixed. Which will take time with optimization, or Evrima is moved as the main branch. Until then, there's not much I can personally support the Geforce Now users with. As much as I'd like to.

I have no experience with geforce now, so you may have to watch some videos or search around on how to use it. Or maybe wait for Krow. But with that gpu I'm not sure it would even run Evrima if you could get it started. I had a 1660ti laptop and it struggled a good bit and evrima has only gotten less optimized since then.

But geforce now is basically streaming the game, so it's not using your system as much, you just need decent internet speeds.

As far as the black screen/loading issues go. The only answer so far is that it might be fixable by editing your Nvidia 3D Settings control panel.
(This bug is known, please be patient as the game is worked on.) Also try fully uninstalling and reinstalling the game using the directions here in pins.

Good day. I have infinity bug with joining server. It's "data acquisition in progress" and it did not go out of game any time I tried to play, so I can't join any servers. First off I'd try to make sure the Isle isn't being blocked by Anti-virus, it's possible its being blocked by it. Naturally make sure you're on the correct branch of the game. If you'd like screenshot your main menu and that will tell me if you're on the correct version.

If all else fails try the following 1. Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
2. Right click Command Prompt
3. Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
4. Type ipconfig /flushdns
5. Hit enter
6. Type netsh winsock reset
7. Hit enter
8. Reboot your computer
9. Open up The Isle

If nothing else works please submit a bug report at #🐞-evrima-bug-reports-🐞 and await future bug fixes, we apologize for the ongoing issue. Hopefully we can get it working with some workarounds or future bug fixes.

Bumping this as I have had the same issues for about a week or more. Connection failed.
I was able to get onto an EU server with only 2 other people on but the NA servers all kicked me either during the loading portion or as I was loading into the map.

Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle

Problem 1:
This has happened several times before. My friend and I friendly/2 call one another to create our group. Either a) it doesn't work/send an invite or b) it sends an invite, but no one can accept it.

Problem 2:
This just happened. My friend accidentally tapped the 'N' key on her computer, and it immediately crashed the game. I experimented and pressed my 'N' key as well, which resulted in my game crashing and giving me a "Fatal error!" screen.

Its an anti-cheat error, why didnt you tell earlier?

If you're encountering a "Launch Error - Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" simply verify your game files.

You can do so by right clicking The Isle in your Steam library > left click properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache.

If the issue persists, adding a firewall exclusion for your entire Isle game folder and then following the steps above should do it.

sorry for the delayed response, i had to finish up my shift. i know i5 CPUs have a harder time running Evrima compared to i7's or i9's, have you used the "canirunit" website to scan your components? you can also use steam itself. let me see if i can get some instructions for doing it in Steam

Try to delete your saved folder, if you can't see any other options. Windows Key + R > %appdata% > Local > The Isle > Delete Saved.

I think if you also play legacy this can happen, as I had a similar problem. Set up your controls in evirma after deleting the saved folder. With your settings saved, move the saved folder out. Then open up legacy, save your settings and do the same with the saved folders. Swap between the saved folders when you want to play evirma or legacy

So I had a 50% utah on NA 1 near center, after the server crash I now have a 0% utah outside the map borders I have no idea where it came from. -42,819.883, 35,380.613, -27,690.105

When I relogged thinking I had the wrong server, it gave me my original Utah back...but after a DC that utah is gone and 10 relogs now have left me getting this 0% one outside the map border where I shouldnt even be able to reach.

P.S. 4th time this week Ive lost a dino and its been replaced with a random 0% outside the map borders.

16gb ram, reso 1920-1080, scale (tried 80&100). Graphical setting were on lowest and highest, no difference.

Fps like its going from ~30fps to 5or lower for a little time. But with that theres also massive sound stuttering. No long lag-breaks, more many mini lags

I'm going to research about sound issue.
However, the FPS falling from 30 to 5fps isn't uncommon.

Frame drops are sadly very common in Evrima

Whilst playing, you can try and check your RAM and CPU usage via Task Manager for those apps whilst Isle plays

I've had the stuttering sound issue, which was caused by my PC resources being used up by other programs

for me, it fixed it when i closed other programs

If nothing works, the final straws would be to verify your game files, restarting your PC and redownloading Evrima (IF nothing works)

if that doesn't work then there's basically nothing you can do besides either trying to submit a bug report in #🐞-evrima-bug-reports-🐞 or contact Punch about this issue.

Well thats the weird thing, i just re-downloaded it like 2 days ago & had to verify game files immediatly due to the easy-anti-cheat-not-found bug

The game does crank up the cpu and gpu usage up to 100% (rarely), mostly cpu is like 90% and gpu 60%. But there seems to be no connection to fps or sound lags. But thanks already for the effort made to help ^^

Paste this into launch options -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -lowmemory -novsync

Then set everything off/low in settings and see if there’s any difference

Also you could have a look in the nvidia control panel and lower settings in there

This seem to have fixed any sort of fps drop for me. The GPU/CPU usage and the sound stutters stay unaffected tho.

Changing settings from highest to lowest only changes the gpu usage from 60to40%, but theres still gpu spikes to 100%. The nivida panel is already at lowest quality.
tldr the sound stutters still exist ^^

U need to hold h to sleep in order to safelog. If you quicklog your Dino will stay in the game for a few minutes

Find a hidden spot and safelog in the future. Takes 60 seconds to safelog, would’ve saved your 5 hours. If you wouldn’t have had time to safelog or get to a hidden spot then you’d be dead anyways

some people crash just because they opened discord while in the game

Recently I’ve been crashing a lot.
A few days ago The Isle worked fine with no problems, and I’ve played other big games(some bigger) and I’ve had no trouble with them. It seemed to calm down for a few hours but after i got back on again it would crash every 10 minutes or less.
Everything on my computer is up to date. Should I uninstall The Isle?

So update, I have verified my files, uninstalled the game, updated my computer, my computer doesn’t overheat, just crashes. This time I was on a server with less than 30 people and I was around none of them. Even turned my graphics down but that didn’t seem to help
Everything worked fine not too long ago and now it just started to crash. My computer works fine with other big games, just not the isle. Is there any solution or am I stuck here?

hopefully the fix patch will come soon, as said in #roadmap-updates , but im not sure if they will fix the crashing issues aswell
for now, i think you should give the isle a time. Its what most of us are doing right now
